The Taoist temple is mainly dedicated to Lu Dongbin, one of the eight famous Taoist immortals, and was built according to a legend about him. In front of the gate, there is a large glazed screen wall with four characters of "Handan ancient temple"; the entrance is the front courtyard, and the screen wall in the south of the courtyard is embedded with four characters of "Penglai fairyland" which is said to be written by LV Dongbin himself; the opposite is the red gate leading to the central axis of the complex, on which is hung a plaque inscribed by an ancient emperor. The main building of LV Xianci includes Zhongli hall, bell tower, Drum Tower, luzu hall, East Queen Mother hall and West Prince hall. In addition, there is Lusheng hall, which tells the story of LV Dongbin. It is said that he led a scholar surnamed Lu to understand life in his sleep and determined to cultivate Taoism. In the hall, there are big blue stone sculptures of Lusheng's sleeping statue, bed and murals on the wall, which show the artistic conception of Lusheng sleeping with one pillow and dreaming with one sleep. Now huangliangmeng Lvxian temple has become a key cultural relics protection unit in Hebei Province.

Tanaka Kok Jung
During his visit to China in 1972, former Japanese Prime Minister Tanaka Kamei once proposed to Premier Zhou Enlai that he would visit huangliangmeng and spend a lot of money to rebuild the Lvxian temple. It turns out that when Tanaka was young, he once served in the Japanese invaders. At that time, his troops were stationed in the stronghold near huangliangmeng. He once went to LV Xian temple to worship him and pray that he would keep him safe during his stay in China. At that time, the Taoists inside said that he had the life to be prime minister and that he would be prosperous and prosperous after returning home.
In 1940, Tanaka was sent back to Japan for treatment because of serious illness, and retired as an injured soldier in 1941. Decades later, he became the Prime Minister of Japan and realized his dream of becoming an official. So I want to return to the dream of sorghum to return my long cherished wish. However, at that time, the ancestral hall of Lu Xian was changed into a private house, and Premier Zhou politely declined Tanaka's request at that time.
But not far from the ancestral hall of Lu Xian, the final ending of Tanaka Jiao Rong is painted on the wall. That was the most beautiful moment when he was formally arrested by the Tokyo District Attorney General's office. He announced that he was suspected of accepting bribes from Lockheed company for four times, totaling 500 million yen, through Marubeni company during his tenure as prime minister from August 1973 to February 1974. He decided to arrest him on suspicion of violating the foreign exchange law and put handcuffs on him!
There is also a poem beside this painting as evidence: when the Japanese invaded China, Tanaka Cheng knocked at LV Xian temple. When asked what he would do in the future, the shadow of handcuffs appeared on the disc. After 40 years, it will come true that Lu Zuzhen is magical.
fool 's paradise
The story of Huangliang dream has spread widely, even affecting overseas. Most tourists from Southeast Asia are familiar with this allusion. In Japanese primary school textbooks, the story of "a dream of Sorghum" is recorded. Japan has also brought the Chinese drama "Handan Ji" to the Japanese stage. When foreign tourists mention Handan, they will say: This is the place to have a dream of sorghum. Why is huangliangmeng famous at home and abroad? Why is it also called lvxianci? This should start from a novel of Tang Dynasty.
Based on the story of Zhen Zhong Ji, a novel written by Shen Jiji in Tang Dynasty, the temple of Lu Xian in Huangliang dream was built. The story tells that Lu Weng, a Taoist, became a fairy empress and traveled around the world as an elder during the Kaiyuan period of Tang Dynasty (subtitle: 719 A.D.). One day, in an inn on Handan Road, he met Lu Sheng, a poor scholar riding a green colt to Beijing for an examination. Lu Sheng told Lu Weng about his poor fate and failed in the examination. Talking about drowsiness, Lu Weng took out a celadon pillow with orifices at both ends from his luggage and handed it to him, saying, "you should have a sleep first.". As soon as Lu Sheng put on a porcelain pillow, he fell asleep. He had a dream that he had won the entrance examination and been promoted to a higher position. However, he had gone through ups and downs several times and was framed several times. Thanks to the emperor's efforts to rehabilitate his unjust imprisonment, he became a prime minister and was granted the title of Duke of Yan. He married a beautiful wife. The whole family enjoyed great honor and wealth and died of a long illness at the age of 81. In his dream, Lu Sheng suddenly woke up and saw the owner of the shop cooking rice. Lu Sheng was surprised, but Lu Weng said to him with a smile, "isn't the way of life a dream?" Lu Sheng Mao Sai suddenly opened up and left his poems and books to learn from Lu Weng. In later works, people romance the plot and let LV Dongbin replace LV Weng and become the hero in the dream of sorghum.
Lu Xian temple is the only scenic spot with the theme of dream culture in China. It reflects the traditional thought of Chinese Confucianism and Taoism that "inaction is eternal and birth is the right way". Therefore, since the publication of zhenzhongji, this dream has been written and adapted again and again. In Tang Dynasty, there is Nanke Ji, in Song Dynasty, Nanke Taishou, in Yuan Dynasty, Ma Zhiyuan's Zaju Huangliang dream, in Ming Dynasty, Tang Xianzu's four dreams in Linchuan, and in Qing Dynasty, PU Songling's famous work Liaozhaizhiyi, there is a continuation of Huangliang dream, which is opposite to Lu Sheng's This dream also has a profound influence on a dream of Red Mansions.
Yuan Haowen, a poet of Jin Dynasty, said:
Title to Lusheng Temple
"Dead, not born,
We must know who is false and who is true,
Today's poet in Handan,
I'm still a dreamer. "
