The Museum of Chinese characters is the first museum of Chinese characters in the world. The whole architectural style is full of modern flavor and has the charm of the court of the Shang Dynasty. Museum of Chinese characters
The Museum of Chinese characters is located at No. 656, east section of Renmin Avenue, Anyang City, Henan Province. Approved by the State Council, it is a national special museum integrating the functions of cultural relic protection, display and scientific research, and also the first museum with the theme of writing in China.
The museum is a group of post-modern buildings with modern architectural style and the charm of the court of the Shang Dynasty. It is composed of Zifang, square, main hall, Cangjie hall, science museum, research center, exchange center and other buildings, covering a total area of 143 Mu and a total construction area of 34500 square meters. A total of 4123 cultural relics have been collected, including 305 first-class cultural relics, involving oracle bone inscriptions, bronze inscriptions, bamboo slips and silk calligraphy, the history of the development of Chinese characters, the history of Chinese calligraphy, ethnic minority characters, world characters, etc. On November 29, 2007, the first phase of the Chinese character museum project started, and officially opened on November 26, 2009.

Development history
On April 20, 2001, Anyang City started the work of applying for the world cultural heritage of Yin Ruins. Li Keqiang approved that the text museum should be built in Anyang.
On August 14, 2002, when Li Keqiang was investigating in Anyang, he demanded that the construction of the Museum of Chinese characters should be approved as soon as possible, and be fully supported as a key project supervised by the Henan provincial government.
On November 12, 2005, the reply of the general office of the State Council on the naming of Anyang character Museum (GBH [2005] No. 94) approved that "the name of the character museum to be built in Anyang, Henan Province can be designated as" Henan Chinese character Museum ".
