Ancient Wharf

Five hundred years ago, Gongwu was once a small commercial port with convenient transportation. There were many boats and masts beside the ancient wharf. It was the only way for merchants from Guangzhou to Longmen waterway. It was prosperous for a time in history. On the wharf, the stone steps are worn and the ancient trees are swaying, which seems to describe the prosperous situation of that year. Beside the big tree on the ancient wharf, there is a Bronze Dragon bell, named "wishing bell". It is said that this clock is very effective. Along the ancient Pier Road, there is a stone plaque of "Wanli Longguan". It is said that the old Gongwu village is surrounded by mountains on all sides, and the Dragon pass is winding. During the reign of Emperor Kangxi of the Qing Dynasty, a memorial archway was built with the inscription "Wanli Longguan". The existing stone plaque was carved in 1756 when the memorial archway was rebuilt. It has four big characters in regular script and is vigorous and beautiful.
