School history

In 1998, Southeast University established a public and private secondary college, CUHK;

In June 2003, CUHK College of Southeast University was transformed into an independent college, which was established with the approval of the Ministry of education of the people's Republic of China and the Department of education of Jiangsu Province.

In August 2003, the first board of directors was established. Gu Guanqun, President of Southeast University, is the chairman and legal representative. Zuo Wei, deputy secretary of the Party committee and vice president of Southeast University, is the vice chairman and Dean of the college.

On September 18, 2003, the College held the opening ceremony of the first class 2003 students and the unveiling ceremony of Chengxian College of Southeast University in Pukou campus of Southeast University.

On January 15, 2005, an expert group led by the Higher Education Department of the Ministry of education came to our hospital for special inspection. The inspection team fully affirmed Chengxian college in the aspects of standardized enrollment, charging according to regulations, scientific management and focusing on teaching quality, and believed that Chengxian college is one of the four independent colleges in Jiangsu province that have achieved good results (the inspection results are divided into "good", "qualified" and "unqualified"), which has good conditions and foundation and can be used in the research and development of applied talents training In terms of exploration, we should take the lead to provide experience for similar colleges and universities across the country.

On January 31, 2005, the Party committee of Southeast University approved the establishment of the first committee of Chengxian College of Southeast University. Cheng Mingshan is the Secretary of the Party committee of the college, and Lu Zhidong is the Deputy Secretary of the Party committee of the college.

In March 2005, the college established the first Communist Youth League Chengxian College Committee of Southeast University and the first student union of Chengxian College of Southeast University, with Shan Xiaofeng as the Secretary of the League Committee.

In June 2005, the college carried out the enrollment work of "from college to undergraduate" for the first time. On June 6, 2005, the trade union of Southeast University approved the establishment of the Committee of Chengxian College of trade union of Southeast University, with Comrade Cui Changzheng as the chairman of the trade union.

On July 8, 2006, the College held the fourth meeting of the first board of directors in Southeast University, recommending Yi Hong, President of Southeast University, as the chairman and legal representative, and Zuo Wei, deputy secretary of the Party committee and vice president of Southeast University, as the vice chairman and President of the College.

In July 2006, Chengxian College of Southeast University implemented logistics management reform, entrusting environmental protection, security, apartments, water and electricity to property companies with first-class qualification, creating a new model of large property trusteeship in Colleges and universities in the province.

In 2006, the admission score of the college in Jiangsu Province was 538, with an average score of 541.8. The score of Jiangsu Province is 480. For three consecutive years, the lowest admission score ranks first in independent colleges, secondary colleges, private undergraduate colleges and other similar colleges in Jiangsu Province.

In August 2006, the College moved from Xiaozhuang campus of Southeast University to Pukou campus of Southeast University (1990.9-2006.8), which is the undergraduate talent training base of Southeast University. It has an independent campus with complete facilities and functions.

In May 2007, with the approval of Jiangsu Provincial Department of education, 17 majors of the college were included in the second batch of enrollment in Jiangsu Province, which is the independent college with the largest number of majors and students in the second batch of enrollment among 318 independent colleges in China.

In August 2008, the college implemented the two-level management system of college and department. In December 2008, the College held the second congress of Chengxian College of Southeast University of the Communist Youth League. Yang Yang served as secretary of the Youth League Committee.

On April 26, 2010, the college solemnly held the general election meeting of the Party committee.

On June 9, 2010, the Committee of Chengxian College of Southeast University held a general election.

On June 17, 2010, the unveiling ceremony of the college's honorary bronze medal was held in the bronze tripod square. President Zuo Wei and Secretary Cheng Mingshan jointly unveiled the commemorative bronze medal.

In June 2010, the Party committee of the college won the honorary title of "advanced grassroots party organization of colleges and universities in Jiangsu Province", and it is the only independent college that won this honor.

In September 2010, the College started to participate in the basic medical insurance for urban residents in Nanjing. On December 8, 2010, the first faculty Congress of the college was solemnly held in the lecture hall of Zhenzhi Museum.

In 2011, the college's comprehensive building with functions of student activity center, canteen, supermarket and bathroom was completed.

On March 9, 2012, the college successfully completed the registration of institutional legal person, becoming the first batch of Independent Colleges in Jiangsu Province to complete the pilot of institutional legal person registration.

On March 9, 2012, Comrade Cheng Mingshan, Secretary of the Party committee, was elected as a deputy to the third people's Congress of Pukou District.

In October 2012, the college won the honorary title of "Advanced University of Jiangsu Province in teaching work".

In December 2012, the trade union of the college was awarded the honorary title of "model worker's family" by Jiangsu Education and technology trade union.

In 2012, all 20 majors including computer science and technology were successfully added as bachelor degree awarding majors.

On June 8, 2013, the College held a series of activities to celebrate its 10th anniversary.

In June 2013, the 11th meeting of the second board of directors of Chengxian College of Southeast University approved Comrade Zheng Jiamao, vice president of Southeast University, as vice chairman of the board of directors and Dean of Chengxian College of Southeast University. In June 2013, the college won the 2012 Provincial Communist Youth League work advanced unit.

In September 2013, 24 excellent freshmen went to Southeast University to study for one year.

In December 2013, the college became the graduate student base of School of chemistry and chemical engineering of Southeast University.

In May 2014, with the approval of Jiangsu Provincial Education Department, all majors (including directions) of our college were included in the second batch of enrollment in Jiangsu Province.

In June 2014, our college was rated as the excellent test center of CET-4 and CET-6 in 2011-2013.

In March 2015, the 11th meeting of the second board of directors of Chengxian College of Southeast University approved that Ding Hui, chief accountant of Southeast University, was the vice chairman of the board of directors of Chengxian College of Southeast University.

On September 7, 2015, Guo Guangyin, Secretary of the Party committee of Southeast University, and Yi Hong, President of Southeast University, visited the college for guidance.

In May 2015, the College held the Third Congress of Chengxian College of Southeast University of the Communist Youth League, with Pan Mingfeng as the Secretary of the League Committee.

In December 2015, the college formulated and completed the 13th five year plan for reform and development of Chengxian College of Southeast University. In December 2015, the College started the pilot work of comprehensive professional reform.

In 2015, the college established the discipline inspection and supervision office, the people's Armed Forces Department, the quality assurance department and the foreign cooperation department.

On January 14, 2016, the 16th meeting of the second board of directors of Chengxian College of Southeast University was held. Comrade Zhang Guangjun is the chairman of the board of directors of the college, while Comrade Yi Hong is no longer the chairman of the board of directors of the college.

In March 2016, Zhang Guangjun, President of Southeast University and chairman of the board of directors of Chengxian College of Southeast University, visited our college to conduct research and guidance.

In August 2016, the college adjusted its organization and reasonably arranged the departments and departments. In November 2016, executive vice president Zheng Jianyong was elected deputy to the fourth Pukou District People's Congress.

On May 17, 2017, the college solemnly held the third party congress of Chengxian College of Southeast University. On June 18, 2017, the College held the establishment and unveiling ceremony of the Discipline Inspection Committee of Chengxian College of Southeast University of the Communist Party of China. Zheng Jiamao, deputy secretary of the Party committee of Southeast University, Ren Lijian, deputy secretary of the Discipline Inspection Commission jointly unveiled the name of the Discipline Inspection Commission of Chengxian college.

The college has presided over and completed more than 20 national, ministerial and provincial scientific research projects, such as National Natural Science Foundation of China, National 863 high tech program, National 863 IMS demonstration project, Jiangsu Province tenth five year key project, Jiangsu Natural Science Foundation of China, and Jiangsu Province CAD application demonstration project.

As of June 2017, the college has a collection of 747800 paper books, including 5793 bound periodicals and 10946 original foreign books. There are 1171 kinds of newspapers and 70 kinds of newspapers. On the basis of ensuring paper documents, all electronic resources of the library of Southeast University of the parent school can be shared. The library has implemented the "big circulation, big reading" service mode, which is advanced at home and abroad and welcomed by readers. The opening time of the library is 94.5 hours a week, and the network information service is provided 24 hours a day.
