It is divided into four floors: the first floor is the international academic lecture hall, with temporary exhibition hall, warehouse, office area and equipment room; the second floor is the comprehensive theme Hall; the third floor is the theme hall; the fourth floor is the office space of the information and research center. Main buildings
Reflection pool
The reflection pool is 74 meters long, 18 meters wide and 0.2 meters deep in the middle of the landscape square. The water source of the whole reflection pool is continuously flowing outward through the pumping, which symbolizes the long history of cross-strait relations.
Jiulongzhu and Wobei
At the entrance of the museum area, there are a pair of Jiulong columns, 19 meters high and 2 meters wide, weighing 135 tons. They are the highest pair of "Jiulong columns" in mainland China. The horizontal stele in front is 12 meters wide, 2.5 meters high and 1 meter thick, weighing 70 tons. It is composed of a complete stone. "Jiulong Tuzhu" symbolizes that both sides of the Taiwan Strait are descendants of the dragon, and the whole tablet symbolizes that cross-strait relations are as solid as a rock.
Music fountain and colorful lamppost
There are two groups of music fountains on both sides of the landscape square, 84 meters in length and 9 meters in width. With the music, the water column will form eight groups of intended landscapes, such as "unite and forge ahead", "plain sailing", "cross-strait dance". At the same time, 48 colorful lamp columns are spliced into gorgeous patterns with Dehua porcelain flowers.
Gunpowder explosion painting mural
The gunpowder explosion mural in the entrance hall of the main building of MinTaiYuan museum is 18 meters high and 9 meters wide. It is the work of Cai Guoqiang, a famous Quanzhou born artist in the United States. Based on the ancient Chinese invention of paper and gunpowder, he uses modern performance art to deduce the cultural theme of the two sides of the Taiwan Strait: the same culture, the same species, the same origin.
Huge stone carvings
The two stone wall carvings on the second floor platform, 16 meters long and 4.5 meters wide, not only contain the goddess Mazu, Quanzhou cultural landscape and famous historical sites Kaiyuan Temple, East West pagoda, laojunyan, Quanzhou Nanyin, paixiong dance, etc., but also include Taiwan's Gaoshan culture, Alishan folk custom and Lugang ancient ferry.
Lotus of peace
At the beginning of the design, the viewing roof with a diameter of 56 meters on the top of the museum was regarded as the soul of the main building. In order to make the whole building more dazzling, the huge circular viewing platform on the top of the museum adopts a stainless steel grid structure, which is more light and elegant visually. The "lotus of peace" in the viewing platform becomes the finishing touch. The gold-plated lotus of peace is 6.2 meters high and 4 meters wide. In the design of the roof ramp leading to the viewing platform, the Confucian idea of "all things belong to their ancestors" and the architectural features of Southern Fujian are fully used. The placement of "lotus of peace" reinforces this idea and expresses the desire of compatriots on both sides of the Taiwan Strait for peace and unity.
