In October, Beijing Electric Power Industrial school was renamed Beijing electric power school, which is under the administration of the State Administration of electric power industry of the Ministry of fuel industry of the people's Republic of China.
On October 4, 1958, Beijing Electric Power Institute was established in Beixiaguan, Xizhimen. Beijing electric power school was changed into the technical secondary school Department of Beijing Electric Power University. The following year, the technical secondary school department became relatively independent, and Beijing Electric Power University was jointly under the direct management of the General Administration of electric power industry of the Ministry of fuel industry of the people's Republic of China, and was managed by the electric power university on behalf of Beijing Electric Power University.
On February 21, 1959, Beijing Electric Power University was under the management of the Ministry of water and electricity of the people's Republic of China.
In 1960, Beijing electric power university built a new campus in sipuzi, Qinghe Xiaoying, Haidian District, Beijing, and moved to Qinghe campus in 1960, under the management of the Ministry of water and electricity. The technical secondary school was completely separated and left in its original place, and the name of Beijing electric power school was used again.
Since September 1961, 41 teaching staff, 230 students and teaching equipment of power plant, power network and power system, high voltage technology, power economy and enterprise organization of the former Harbin Institute of technology have been transferred to Beijing Electric Power University as a whole. Later, some Postgraduates of power generation and automatic high voltage have been transferred to Beijing Electric Power University, becoming the first batch of Postgraduates of Beijing Electric Power University.
In 1964, high voltage technology and power plant chemistry of Beijing Electric Power University were integrated into Wuhan University of water conservancy and electric power. In 1965, Beijing electric power university trained four Vietnamese students from power industry economy and organization arranged by the Ministry of education, and became the first batch of international students recruited by the University.
Move to Hebei
On November 7, 1969, in order to meet the needs of national war preparedness, Beijing Electric Power University moved to Yuecheng Reservoir in Handan, Hebei Province. The remaining part of Beijing Xiaoying set up a left behind office, and the 419 unit of communication troops settled in Beijing Xiaoying campus.
On October 17, 1970, Beijing Institute of electric power moved from Handan to Baoding and changed its name to "Hebei Institute of electric power". It is led by the Ministry of water and electricity and Hebei Province, with Hebei Province as the main province.
In August 1977, the national college entrance examination system was restored, and the college began to recruit students.
reform and opening-up
In February 1978, the college was designated as a national key university by the State Council. In September, Hebei Electric Power University changed its name to "North China Electric Power University", which is led by the Ministry of water and electricity and Hebei Province, with the Ministry as the main body. North China Institute of electric power resumed recruiting graduate students.
On February 5, 1979, the Ministry of water and electricity approved the establishment of the Beijing Graduate Department of North China Electric Power University in the existing campus of Xiaoying, Qinghe, Beijing. The Department is jointly organized by North China Electric Power University and the Institute of electric science of the Ministry of water and electricity, with North China Electric Power University as the main organization.
In September 1982, North China University of electric power was awarded the first batch of master's degrees in three specialties (power system and automation, power plant engineering and theoretical electrician).
In October 1983, with the approval of the State Education Commission, Beijing Graduate Department of North China Institute of water resources and hydropower, Beijing School of water resources and hydropower, Institute of kinetic energy economics of the Academy of electric and Power Sciences of the Ministry of water resources and hydropower, and some personnel of North China Institute of electric power were transferred to form Beijing Institute of water resources and power economics and management on the basis of the Institute of water resources and power cadres' advanced studies. Beijing Institute of water resources and electric power economics and management is led by the Ministry of water resources and Beijing Municipality, with the Ministry of water resources as the main body.
On June 1, 1984, the Xiaoying campus in Beijing was divided into two parts, half of which was assigned to the school of management of the Ministry of Electronics (i.e. the 419 unit of the communication Corps that settled in the school in 1969). The school began to recruit the first batch of engineering masters.
On July 23, 1985, the Ministry of water and electricity approved the establishment of Beijing water resources and Power Management Cadre College on the basis of Beijing Graduate Department of North China Electric Power University, and it was listed on July 24 of the same year. The Beijing Graduate Department of North China Electric Power University and Beijing Water Conservancy and electric power management cadre college jointly run and manage the school, which is under the unified management of North China Electric Power University.
On July 28, 1986, the Academic Degrees Committee of the State Council approved North China Electric Power University as the doctoral degree awarding unit, and the power system and automation specialty was granted the right to confer doctoral degree.
In 1988, after the establishment of the Ministry of energy, North China Electric Power University was under the management of the Ministry of energy.
In September 1990, the Ministry of energy decided that Beijing Institute of water resources and electric power economics and management, Beijing Institute of water resources and electric power management, and Beijing Graduate Department of North China electric power university should be integrated to run schools, forming Dingfuzhuang campus in the eastern suburb, Qinghe campus, Western Suburb Branch and zhuxinzhuang campus under construction in Beijing. After the western suburb division was put under the management of the Ministry of water resources in September 1992, it has evolved into Dingfuzhuang campus, Qinghe campus, Beijing Institute of water resources and electric power economics and zhuxinzhuang campus under construction in the eastern suburb of Beijing. On October 22, 1992, it was renamed as Beijing Institute of dynamic economics and moved to zhuxinzhuang campus.
On September 10, 1991, the 233 Mu new campus built by North China Electric Power University in Hanzhuang township of Baoding was put into use.
In 1992, after the Ministry of energy was abolished due to the reform of large ministry system, North China Electric Power University and Beijing Institute of dynamic economics were under the management of the Ministry of electric power.
In 1995, with the approval of the former State Education Commission, North China Electric Power University and Beijing Institute of dynamic economics merged to form North China Electric Power University, with its headquarters in Baoding, Hebei Province and its Beijing campus.
