Tomb of Deng Shaochang
Deng Shaochang, the father of Deng Xiaoping, was born in 1886 and died in 1936 at the age of 50. Deng Shaochang studied in Chengdu law and politics school in his early years. After returning to his hometown, he taught and served as director of Xiexing rural League and Guang'an County League Training Bureau. As a result of his new-style education and world experience, he was open-minded and upright, progressive in thought, and resentful of evil as a foe. He deplored the corruption of the Qing government and the rampancy of the imperialist aggressors. He joined the local paoge organization, worked as the Third Master of Xiexing "dock", and later was promoted to "master of flag". He ran around, actively engaged in anti foreign religion and "road protection movement". Before and after the revolution of 1911, the revolutionary army was established in Guang'an. Deng Shaochang joined the revolutionary army, became the commander of the training camp for recruits, and led his troops to take part in the local armed riots. Deng Shaochang is respected and influential in the countryside. His greatest achievement in his life is that he chose the road of studying in France for Deng Xiaoping. This decision has a great influence on Deng Xiaoping's life and even the fate of China as a whole. In 2002, the people's Government of Sichuan Province announced the tomb of Deng Shaochang as a provincial cultural relic protection unit.
