Historical evolution
Qianming temple was built in the late Ming Dynasty and rebuilt in the 36th year of Qianlong (1771). Xiandu Zen master was stationed here to spread Zen. During the war in the late Qing Dynasty, the living monks were separated and managed by the gentry Shu. Shu changed the name of the temple to "Shujia ancestral hall" in private. His two daughters converted to guangmiao, the abbot of Qixia Temple. They practiced at home and took care of incense lanterns in the ancestral hall.
In 1932, the abbot of guangmiao in Qixia Temple expired, and the second virgin of Shu family was raised in the ancestral temple. Later, due to the addition of Zen houses, three inscriptions of Qianming Temple rebuilt in the 36th year of Qianlong reign of Qing Dynasty were excavated from the ground. Guangmiao appealed to the local court to accept the case of Shu's private occupation of Qianming temple. With the support of Guiyang celebrities Ping gang and Xiang Yi, Shu returned the temple and restored the name of Qianming temple. Guangmiao, as abbot, raised money from various sources and built the temple of Amitabha, which became the main hall for Buddhist rituals. The new Sutra library contains 593 copies of Qisha collection and 414 copies of Pinjia collection. After the Mituo hall is the dizang hall. Others, such as the Abbot's room, the guest hall, and the monk's hut, are complete. Guangmiao once preached the precepts twice.
