Tin is the birthplace of pre Wu culture. Gouwu, the first ancient civilization country established in the lower reaches of the Yangtze River more than 3000 years ago, is located in Meili (now Meicun Town, Xishan City). It is known as guwuxu in history. It was founded by Taibo, the eldest son and Zhongyong, the second son of King Tai of Zhou. So far, Taibo Temple (also known as Taibo temple, Zhide temple, also known as rang Wang Temple) has been listed as a provincial cultural relic protection unit. Taibo, Confucius called him "Zhide", Sima Qian listed him as the first "aristocratic family" in historical records, and his deeds were recorded in the annals of history. The old house where Taibo lived was listed as a ancestral temple. Every year, the ninth day of the first month is Taibo's birthday, forming a traditional temple fair. Taibo hall, together with Yuhuang hall and Guandi hall, is a group of classical architectural groups. In the east courtyard, there are sanrang hall, Zunde hall, Daxia hall and ancient Wushe Temple (rang Wang Temple). Taibo temple in Meicun
Taibo temple in Meicun is a tourist attraction located at NO.5 Tianshan Road, Wuxi City.

Located 15 kilometers southeast of Wuxi City, by the bodu River in Meicun Township, Wuxi County, it is also known as Taibo temple, Zhide temple and rangwang temple. Meicun, formerly known as Meili, was the capital of the state of Wu when Taibo, the eldest son of the king of the late Shang and Zhou dynasties, sent the throne from Qishan, Shaanxi to Wu. In the second year of Yongxing (154) of the Eastern Han Dynasty, Emperor Huan ordered the temple to be set up here for renovation and expansion. In the early Qing Dynasty, it became a group of architectural groups, covering an area of more than 80 mu. In 1860, when the Qing army suppressed the Taiping Army in Wuxi, the buildings of Taibo temple, such as Aizhi hall, Dashu hall, Dezhi hall, Daxia hall and cijian hall, were destroyed. In 1937, it was destroyed by the Japanese army. Only the main hall, two verandahs, halberd gate, Toushan gate and dozens of ancient cypresses in the temple remained.
