Shenshan sword casting site is located in the Northeast suburb of Wuhu City. It is connected with Shenshan, Huolu mountain and Ma'anshan. The mountain is winding and full of historical charm. It is said that in the spring and Autumn period, Ganjiang and moye set up a furnace to make swords here. After three years, they cast two swords, male and female. The swords are shining green, extremely sharp and flexible.

"The book of pictures" says: "this is where the generals quench their swords.". Up to now, there are still some ancient sites on the mountain, such as "quenched sword pool", "dijianshi" and "tiemenkou". Located on the top of the mountain, quenched sword pool is not big, the water is not deep, but it is not dry all the year round, and the water is clear. It's amazing. According to historical records, after the death of a general, he was also buried in this mountain. Li Jing, a famous general of the Tang Dynasty, once countered the rebellion nearby, and later generations built a Li Wei temple in the holy mountain to worship him. Shen duanjie, the magistrate of Wuhu County, led the people to pray for rain in the holy mountain in the Song Dynasty. Because of the heavy rain, the Zhixi pavilion was built. In 1987, the people's Government of Wuhu city rebuilt the Zhixi Pavilion.

With its unique charm and beauty, Shenshan has recently been approved by the Municipal People's government to name "chizhuqingfeng" as one of the "green peaks".
