Located in the south of Yongding City, Zhangjiajie City, Hunan Province, only 4 kilometers away from the city center. Legend has it that someone once saw the fairy take a shower and make-up in the stream, so it is called Xianren stream, also known as Xiannv stream. There are more than 200 kinds of trees and more than 180 kinds of animals distributed in the stream, and the forest coverage rate is about 98%. The air is rich in fenduojing, which has bactericidal effect and good effect on the treatment of diseases. It is a good place for "forest bath". There are three waterfalls (Yinhe waterfall, sandiao waterfall, Xiannv waterfall), four deep pools (yunu pool, Sheshen pool, Shuangtan yingyue pool, Zhufu pool), Baren rock house, ape nature reserve and many other scenic spots in the scenic area. They are famous for peak danger, stone monster, cave difference, waterfall show, Tanbi, wuduo and Linmao. Yi Shunding, a poet of the Qing Dynasty, once described it as "listening to the song of the ape and looking down at you scales". The floating haze is different in color, and there are many strange stones. Green trees in winter and spring, and Zhu Hua in spring. The drooping vines do not give way to the waterfall.

Tourist routes

As xianrenxi has not yet been developed, it is more suitable for self driving or outdoor sports than the big attractions that attract tourism teams. Although the traffic is not as convenient as that of mature scenic spots, Xianren river is not difficult to travel. Visitors take bus No.8 in the urban area to xianrenxi station, walk for 10 minutes to xianrenxi reservoir, and then transfer to a ferry (the bottom price is 20 yuan per trip). The waterway is very short, only seven or eight minutes away. Get off the boat and enter xianrenxi village. Enjoy the mysterious and primitive scenery.

According to the head of xianrenxi village, most tourists come to xianrenxi only for barbecue and swimming in the water at the head of the village, and rarely go deep into the scenic spot. The essence of the fairer Creek is hidden in the small shrimp stream of the Fairy River. Along Xiami River, you can see Longtan, Feibao, Qixing mountain, liumingdeng training ground, Nantianmen and other scenic spots, but the road is difficult, only a few well-equipped outdoor enthusiasts dare to try.

Immortal Cave - if you don't take the dangerous road to pursue the wonderful scenery, you can go up the xianrenxi village and enter heidu Bay. On a cave called empty shell, there is a natural stone Bodhisattva standing upright, immortal wind and crane bone, which is affectionately called immortal by the local people. So the cave is called immortal cave. In the old society, many people came here to burn incense and pray for the protection of immortals.

Nantianmen - go straight in along the river. In the deepest part of the stream, you can look up at the Nantianmen hidden in the clouds. It is different from Tianmen cave in Tianmen Mountain. It is independent of the mountains, just like the real gate to heaven. When you cross the Tianmen cave in front of you, you have to go through the South Tianmen again to become an immortal. The mountain peaks beside the south gate are also in strange shapes, which naturally form a large and small natural landscape. The general rock guarding the South Tianmen gate like a heavenly soldier, and the candle peak symbolizing the immortal family atmosphere of the South Tianmen gate are scattered around, forming a whole mountain wonder.

Development progress

On June 29, 2010, Huatian Group, Zhangjiajie Municipal government and Hunan Industrial and Commercial Bank signed a letter of intent for strategic cooperation. The first phase of cooperation is to build a compound scenic spot for leisure, vacation and tourism in xianrenxi, Yongding District. The construction and development period of xianrenxi ecotourism resort is three to five years, and the estimated investment is 1 billion yuan.

In order to solidly promote the process of Nanmenkou and xianrenxi characteristic block project, Xu Xianhui, deputy secretary of the municipal Party committee and mayor, presided over a seminar on February 24, 2014. The project site of Nanmenkou characteristic block is located in Chongwen and Yongding offices of Yongding District. It is an important part of the construction of "two districts and two belts" in the downtown area of Zhangjiajie. The project layout group includes resettlement area, commercial and residential area, bar area, ethnic catering area, tourist shopping area, folk performing arts area, traditional crafts exhibition area, cultural relics and ancient buildings inn area, Zhangjiajie Cultural corridor, the new planning scheme design of the project has been completed, the project planning scheme and revision plan are being prepared, and the project construction and operation are expected to be completed from 2014 to 2016.

Travel Tips

1. The valley of xianrenxi is relatively open, and there are few vegetation on both sides, so you should do a good job of sun protection when you visit xianrenxi in strong sunshine.

2. The most beautiful scenic spot of xianrenxi is located in xianrenxi village and rhinoceros village. Due to the lack of tourism development, the local government can not provide accommodation and other services for the time being. In addition, there are many scenic spots in xiamixi section of the tributary, but the road is difficult to walk. Tourists need to be equipped with complete outdoor equipment if they want to go deep into this section of the scenic area.
