The old name of taxiang was xiuwenxiang. There was a wooden pagoda built by muyuan, an envoy of Anyuan under the command of Wang Shenzhi, the king of Fujian, in the Five Dynasties. It was called Yuwang pagoda, and it was mainly called "prosperous cultural movement". But the Yuwang pagoda is only symbolic. After the Southern Song Dynasty, the pagoda was destroyed. In the Qing Dynasty, a half valve pagoda was built in the lane as a memorial.
Tower Lane
Tower Lane, in Fuzhou City, Fujian Province, south of Langguan lane, South Street in the west, South Street in the East (bay17 North Road). It used to be xiuwenxiang, and the name of taxiang got its name from the wooden pagoda built by muyuan, an envoy of Anyuan under the command of King Shenzhi of Fujian in the Five Dynasties. It was called yuwangta, which was mainly for the prosperity of Wenyun. Therefore, in the Song Dynasty, the magistrate Chen Su changed the name of taxiang to Xingwen, and soon changed it to Wenxing.

It is said that in the Five Dynasties, Qian hongchu, king of Wu and Yue, imitated the story of Ashoka of India in building 84000 pagodas and made 84000 pagodas for Sutra collection. Because it is shaped like a treasure chest and contains the seal scriptures, it is called the treasure chest seal Scripture tower, commonly known as the ayuwang tower. Cultural influence

In the 1950s, the small tower was moved to the entrance of the alley. The old tower on the former two-sided archway has been demolished in the reconstruction of three lanes and seven alleys.
