Shaanxi Museum of nature

The museum is located at the South Gate of Xi'an City, on the island around the TV Tower on Chang'an South Road, overlooking the bell and Drum Tower in the north and Zhongnan Mountain in the south. It aims to popularize scientific and natural knowledge and enrich the cultural and entertainment life of citizens. It covers an area of 110 mu, with a total construction area of 16000 square meters, including two independent buildings: the nature museum and the science and Technology Museum. The science and Technology Museum has the first dome cinema in Northwest China. Life science will be the main feature of Shaanxi Natural Museum, while ecology is the advantage of Shaanxi. The goal of the museum is to build a "first-class domestic and international" museum. After completion, the museum will become a nature Exhibition Center, a science and technology culture carrier and incubation platform, an environmental protection propaganda base, and a scientific research and popular science education center.

In February 2020, it was learned from Xi'an culture and Tourism Bureau that Shaanxi Natural History Museum will be open to medical workers from the date of restoration to December 31, 2020

Shaanxi Museum of natural history is located on the Zhouxing island of South Chang'an Road, Xi'an city. It looks at the bell and Drum Tower in the north and Zhongnanshan in the south. Taking the TV Tower as the symmetrical point, the pavilion has two pavilions, science and technology and nature. The two pavilions are respectively in the shape of glass ball and crescent, just like "the sun" and "the moon", containing "the sun and the moon shine together". Creatures from hundreds of millions of years ago appeared here, and more than 20000 specimens settled here. Shaanxi Natural History Museum narrates the story of man and nature through the dialogue between specimens and history, nature and Science in the past 540 million years, adding indispensable taste and profound cultural heritage to Xi'an, an international metropolis. In September 2018, after the museum self-evaluation application, the provincial museum industry organization evaluation, the National Museum Evaluation Committee organized experts to review, and reported to the State Administration of cultural relics for the record, China Museum Association decided to agree that Shaanxi Natural History Museum is a national second-class Museum.

Since the opening of our museum on January 5, 2008, Shaanxi Provincial Investment Group Corporation, a large state-owned enterprise, has quietly taken up this social responsibility for Xi'an with the only management mode in the country. Nature breeds and destroys life. Nature museum is a story about human and nature. Why are children curious about dinosaurs? In the exhibition hall of the museum, a large number of ancient animal and plant fossil specimens and a large number of rare wild animal and plant specimens, including the "four national treasures", are displayed. The exhibition here is divided into three parts: the universe and the earth, the geography and geomorphology of Shaanxi, and the mineral resources of Shaanxi. Mamen river dragon, the star of the dinosaur family, is 4.5 meters tall and 24 meters long. South China tiger, giant panda, golden monkey, wild antelope, red deer, civet cat and other animals, or wandering in the mountains and rivers, or living in the trees.
