Collection of Tang Sancai
Tang Sancai is a kind of pottery popular in the Tang Dynasty, with yellow, brown and green as the basic glaze color. Later, people used to call this kind of pottery "Tang Sancai". Tang Dynasty is the heyday of Chinese feudal society. It is prosperous economically and colorful in culture and art. Tang Sancai is a kind of painted pottery handicraft produced in this period. It is famous for its vivid shape, gorgeous color and rich life atmosphere. The production of Tang Sancai has a history of more than 1300 years. It absorbs the characteristics of traditional Chinese painting, sculpture and other arts and crafts, and adopts decorative patterns in the form of stacking and depicting, with rough and powerful lines.
Tang Sancai is a kind of low-temperature glazed pottery. Different metal oxides are added into the colored glaze. After roasting, it will form a variety of colors, such as light yellow, ochre yellow, light green, dark green, sky blue, maroon, eggplant purple, etc., but most of them are yellow, brown and green. It is a kind of traditional handicraft with Chinese unique style. It is mainly the colored glaze on the ceramic body, which changes chemically in the process of baking. The color glaze changes in shade, infiltrates each other, mottled and dripping, and the color is natural and harmonious, and the pattern is smooth. In the mutual reflection of colors, the three colors of Tang Dynasty show their magnificent artistic charm. Tang Sancai was used in funerary, as a Ming ware, because of its fragile body, poor waterproof performance, practicality is far less than that of celadon and white porcelain.
Collection Liao Sancai
Low temperature colored glazed pottery produced in Liao Dynasty. Influenced by Tang Sancai, this kind of variety was also used in Liao Dynasty. The three colors of Liao Dynasty are mostly yellow, green and brown glaze. The square dish, Begonia flower style long plate, cockscomb pot and barrel bottle are rich in Qidan style. Among them, Chifeng VAT kiln has a relatively large amount of firing. The three color glazed pottery is soft and light red, and the glaze color is delicate and bright, which is comparable to the three color glazed pottery of Tang Dynasty. There are two kinds of decoration methods: printing and patterning. Most plates and dishes are printed in Yangwen, and chisels are patterned. The difference between the three colors of the Tang Dynasty and the three colors of the Liao Dynasty is that there is no blue in the three colors of the Liao Dynasty, the glaze is not blended, and the glaze is less flowing.
