Doudian Earth City was announced as the first batch of key cultural relics protection units in Beijing on August 21, 1979. The city is rectangular and divided into two layers. The inner city is made of rammed earth, and the outer wall is a pile of earth. The inner city is 1100 meters long from east to west and 860 meters wide from north to south. The outer city is 1200 meters long from east to west and 960 meters wide from north to south. The distance between the city and Guo is about 20 meters. At the southwest corner, there is still a city wall as high as 8 meters. The top is about 2.5 meters wide, and the bottom is about 17 meters wide. The rammed earth layers are obvious, with the thickness of 12-17 cm. There are traces of grass laying between the layers. The rammed nest is round, with a diameter of 5-6 cm. The west wall of the city has a Zicheng, which is also rectangular. It is about 400 meters long from east to west and 300 meters wide from north to south. The West Wall borrows from the wall of the big city, and the other three sides only have relics at the North-South corner.
