The main hall is the main building of the mosque, which is composed of three halls. It is 55 meters long from east to west and 29 meters wide from north to south. There are two versions about the beginning of the mosque
Story 1: it was built in 1356 of the Yuan Dynasty. It is said that Shaihai sanadine, the third son of Shaihai Zun wamding, built a mosque in the east of Beijing during the song and Yuan Dynasties.
Statement 2: it was founded in 1447, the 12th year of Zhengtong in the Ming Dynasty, with the donation of Chen you, the later military governor of the Ming Dynasty. The temple faces east from the west, with three gates.
Renovation and reconstruction

The gate of the temple was rebuilt in 1920. Inside the second gate is the original bunker building (Xuanli building). There is a worship hall in the courtyard of the Chuihua gate, which can accommodate more than 500 people to worship at the same time. The three arches of the main hall are all engraved with the Koran scriptures. There are five auxiliary halls and three auxiliary rooms with front porches in the north and south, respectively, which preserve the architectural style of the Ming Dynasty. In the reference room of nanpeidian, there are various versions of the Koran. The most precious one is a hand-made version of the Yuan Dynasty, which is exquisitely written and well preserved, as well as books presented by the king of Egypt.
