Longgang revolutionary site is located in Longgang Town, southwest of Yangxin County, Hubei Province, at the junction of Yangxin and Tongshan in Hubei Province and Wuning and Ruichang in Jiangxi Province. More than 70 revolutionary sites, such as the special committee of Southeast Hubei, the former Soviet site in Longyan district and the former residence of Peng Dehuai, are preserved here. Among them, 16 are listed as national key cultural relics protection units, and 19 are provincial key cultural relics protection units. Among them, 12 sites are concentrated in Hongjun street, a 600 meter long old street in Longgang town.
In 2001, it was listed in the fifth batch of national key cultural relics protection units.

historical background
In September 1927, the Communist Party of China led the Autumn Harvest Uprising in Longgang and carried out the armed separatist regime of workers and peasants.
From 1929 to 1930, Li can, he Changgong and Peng Dehuai led the Red Army to enter Longgang successively, creating a revolutionary base in Southeast Hubei. Later, the East Hubei special committee directly under the Central Committee and the Southeast Hubei special (Road) committee under the CPC Hunan Hubei Jiangxi Provincial Committee were successively established in Longgang to lead the revolutionary struggle in 21 counties (cities) in the Hunan Hubei Jiangxi border area. At that time, Longgang became the political, military, economic and cultural center of the revolutionary base in Southeastern Hubei, gathering 48 organs including the party, government, army, factories, schools, hospitals, banks and shops, becoming the political, economic, military and cultural center of the revolutionary base in Southeastern Hubei, known as "little Moscow".

There are 41 cultural relics protection units at all levels in Longgang Town, including 16 national cultural relics protection units, 22 provincial cultural relics protection units and 3 municipal and county cultural relics protection units. There are 4 historical buildings (clusters), with a total construction area of 48000m square meters. Among them, the construction area of historical buildings and cultural relics protection units in the core protection area is 35000m square meters, especially the revolutionary old street in Longgang, which covers an area of 28000m square meters and a construction area of 17237m square meters.
More than 70 revolutionary sites, including the CPC Southeast Hubei special committee, the Southeast Hubei Soviet government, the Southeast Hubei workers, peasants and soldiers bank, the former residence of Peng Dehuai, Pengyang school, Lenin school and the red army rear hospital, are preserved in the former revolutionary sites of Longgang, of which 16 are listed as national key cultural relics protection units and 19 as provincial key cultural relics protection units.
The old street (Red Army Street) was built in the late Qing Dynasty. Most of the buildings are two-story brick and wood buildings with single eaves. In these revolutionary sites, there are nearly 100 slogans, murals and other relics of that year. Among them, 12 sites are concentrated in the 600 meter long old street (commonly known as "Red Army Street") in Longgang town. 15 of them are concentrated in the 400 meter long old street of Longgang town.

Longgang martyrs cemetery
Longgang martyrs cemetery in Southeastern Hubei Province is located on the lion mountain of Longgang Town, where many martyrs sleep. For example, Wu Zhimin, Chen Chunyi and other party members died bravely on this mountain. In the 1950s, the state designated this mountain as the cemetery of revolutionary martyrs in Southeast Hubei. At that time, there was no need for greening. Two hundred big Bluestone steps were laid on the east side of the mountain. On the top of the mountain, there was a monument to the martyrs. In the 1970s, the martyrs' cemetery was expanded. The former monument to the little martyrs was demolished and the marble was used to build a tall and majestic monument to the revolutionary martyrs in Southeast Hubei. There are also umbrella pavilions and hexagonal pavilions for visitors to rest and enjoy.
Red Army Street
Red Army Street, also known as Longgang old street, also known as the revolutionary site street. It is located on the Bank of Longgang River, with a total length of more than 800 meters and a width of 5 meters. There are two stone steps in front of the shop. The storefront is painted with red door and floor. With winding streets and elegant market, it is the epitome of Jiangnan ancient town. During the agrarian revolution, 17 party, government and military organs, including the Soviet government in Southeast Hubei, the Communist Youth League special committee in Southeast Hubei, the Political Security Bureau in Southeast Hubei, the general trade union in Southeast Hubei, the workers, peasants and soldiers bank in Southeast Hubei, the Red Army hostel in Southeast Hubei, and the headquarters of the red five army, were all located here, known as "little Moscow". Longgang Revolutionary History Memorial Hall is located on the west side of new street in Longgang Town, adjacent to national highway 106 in front and Lion Rock Mountain in back, adjacent to Longgang martyrs cemetery. Built in October 1976, it covers an area of 5000 square meters and a construction area of 1447 square meters, displaying 315 revolutionary cultural relics
. It is one of the places of interest in Hubei Province and has been included in the Great Dictionary of Chinese places of interest. Inside the museum are the site of the CPC Southeast Hubei special committee, the office and accommodation of the special committee, the air raid shelter of the special committee and the exhibition room. There are more than 500 pieces of announcements, books, letters, weapons, murals, relics of martyrs, revolutionary cultural relics and photos.
