Sari shengta
Located in Nanrui, the ancestral temple area, the sarisheng pagoda was built in the kaihuang period of the Sui Dynasty, rebuilt in the Song Dynasty, and rebuilt in 1751. The tower is three or eighteen meters high, with seven rooms and octagonal corners and glazed tile roofs. From a distance, the towering ancient tower reflects the blue sky and white clouds in the village, which is very spectacular. Sarisheng pagoda is located in the north of Fengsheng temple. It is said that after the death of the Sakyamuni, his ashes formed various crystal beads, which are called "sarizi" by Buddhists. One of them was buried under the pagoda. When Emperor Qianlong rebuilt the pagoda, he found many sarizi. Now one of them has become a thousand. Could it be that "Buddhism has spirit, and life is inexhaustible"? So it's called "Sari tower". The tower was founded in the kaihuang period of Sui Dynasty (589-604 AD). It was rebuilt in the Song Dynasty, but it was seriously damaged in the early Qing Dynasty. Shanxiu, a monk of Fengsheng temple, decided to rebuild the pagoda. He finally got enough money to rebuild it in 1751. The tower is 38 meters tall, 8 corners and 7 floors, with glass trimming, beautiful outline, tall and spectacular. There are spiral pedals in the tower, which can climb the top of the tower. There are 4 doors and 8 windows on each floor. You can have a panoramic view of the Jinci temple from the window. If you appreciate the pagoda at sunset, there will be a magnificent landscape of cloud brocade and tower full of brilliance, known as "pagoda phixia".
Historical legend
It is said that 2500 years ago, the ashes of Sakyamuni's nirvana formed 84000 pearl shaped relics, one of which was buried under the pagoda. When the pagoda was rebuilt during the reign of Emperor Qianlong, it was found that one of them changed into a hundred, and a hundred became thousands. Is it because of the spirit of Buddhism? So it was named "sarisheng tower".
Fengsheng temple was originally a villa built by Li Yuan for Yuchi Jingde, a famous general in Tang Dynasty. In 622 A.D., the fifth year of Wude, Emperor Gaozu of Tang Dynasty, general Jingde donated his villa to a temple to establish a Buddhist temple and surpass all living beings. His full name is Shifang Fengsheng temple, also known as Sakyamuni.
Sarisheng pagoda is located in the north of Fengsheng temple. The tower was founded in the kaihuang period of Sui Dynasty (589-604 AD). It was rebuilt in Song Dynasty, but it was seriously damaged in the early Qing Dynasty. Shanxiu, a monk of Fengsheng temple, decided to rebuild the pagoda. He finally got enough money to rebuild it in 1751.
This tower is a masterpiece among the brick towers of the Qing Dynasty in China. It is 38 meters tall, 8 corners and 7 floors. It has a beautiful outline and a magnificent height. There are spiral pedals in the tower, which can reach the top of the tower. The first level of the tower door is inscribed with the word "shape is clear and dynamic". Each level above the second level has four brick plaques, a total of 20 of which are embedded in the wall of the tower. These plaques are all made by Yang Eryou.
There are Buddha statues on each floor of the original tower. There are four doors and eight windows on the first floor. You can see the beautiful scenery inside and outside the Jinci temple from the window. When you appreciate the pagoda at sunset, you will also see the magnificent scenery of one day's cloud brocade and full of brilliance. The gorgeous scenery is known as "pagoda phixia".
Yang Eryou (1705-1780) was named Xueshan and named Liunan. He was born in Taiyuan Jinci of Qing Dynasty. In 1733 (the 11th year of Yongzheng), he was a Jinshi in the middle school. He was the editor of Hanlin academy and the calligraphy teacher of Qianlong. In 1739 (the fourth year of the reign of Emperor Qianlong), he toured Taiwan as a censor and concurrently studied Confucianism and politics. When I returned to my hometown Jinci in my old age, I made a lot of achievements in Jinci scenic spots.
Historical evolution
In the Notre Dame hall, you can see it towering on the southwest corner of Jinci temple. Through a pond, the pond is unknown, and the water vapor is transpiration. Passing a wall full of Parthenocissus, the Parthenocissus is green in the May of the lunar calendar, and the green is unrestrained and ready to jump. It seems to rush to grab people from the wall. Take a narrow road. To the east of the road, there is a high red wall. Under the wall, there are several small white flowers. I don't know the name of the flowers. The red and white flowers are vivid. There are not many passers-by, probably tourists rarely go so far away, there are two pairs of young men and women on the road wantonly intimate, one of them seems to be from the West Hu tourists. Lu Wei turned around and suddenly came to the bottom of the tower.
This is an octagonal brick tower, 38 meters high, a total of seven stories, the tower is surrounded by low arch hurdles. There are spiral pedals in the tower, which can climb to the top of the tower. Each floor has 4 doors and 8 windows, which can be viewed by the window. The pagoda was built in the reign of Emperor Sui (581-600). It is said that it was the place where Yang Jian, the Emperor Wen of Sui, buried his relic. I don't know the appearance of the emissary from the western regions who came to the sacrifice. He should have a deep nose and high eyes. He was strangely dressed. When he knelt down, he brought a strong smell of smell. His expression hidden in the curly yellow beard looked strange. He said in stiff Chinese, "I will present the precious relic to your majesty, which is the most precious treasure of Buddhism. If you see the relic buried on the mountain when you meet Mingjun, it will make the mountain shine."
Under the tower, the tower lights up. I ask your majesty to give me a reward. I want the emperor of the Sui Empire to give me a beautiful woman. We don't know what Emperor Wen of Sui Dynasty said. It doesn't matter. Anyway, the emperor is a kind of indifferent person. His words are always irrelevant. His dignity is hidden in his expressionless face and his peaceful voice like that of a news announcer. The emperor took the relic and asked people to build the tower for collection.
The above is the origin of sarisheng tower. But the pagoda didn't shine after it was built, which made people feel strange. Some people scolded the envoys of the western regions, saying that he had abducted the beauty of the Empire, but he took a bag of unknown things and pretended to be a treasure of Buddhism. Maybe it was a bag of sheep bones. Some people began to whisper that the pagoda didn't shine because the Sui Dynasty was exhausted, but we suspected that such remarks might be the trick of Li Shimin. He is trying to replace the Sui Dynasty. In a few days, he will come to Jinci temple with his father to pray and ask Uncle Tang Yushen to protect them.
The name of Sari shengta is the meaning of endless Dharma. There is an inscription at the gate of the pagoda, which is also from the Buddhist language. It means that the Enlightenment of the Buddha can turn evil into justice. We need to write down some characters about the pagoda and the pain of a person. In the third year of Baoyuan (1040) of the Northern Song Dynasty, the relic tower collapsed in the light of time and war, leaving few layers. Monk Pushan vows to build a pagoda. He goes around to make love to each other. The summer sun cuts down on his bald head fiercely. Torrential rain knocks his bald head and clatters. The lightning at night sometimes shines on his bald head, which reflects a weak stubborn light. This is a humble man who is determined to do one thing with his whole life. He moved us so much. The wind on his bald head gradually cooled, and the autumn leaves occasionally fell on his head. Finally, he raised some money and planned to start building the tower. But there was a local Hun who came to him. That man is like Liu Wencai, a big landlord in Sichuan, who has been publicized since the founding of the people's Republic of China. He is a rich and powerful bully. He wanted to take the money away from monk Pushan. It may be a dark night, and the disaster of monk Pushan is coming. A group of people broke into his meditation room to face the peaceful meditation of Pushan. They yelled fiercely, but Pushan was silent. They urged, when Pushan stood up, those people were silent for a short time. Monk Pushan, this is a very kind man. He has no power to fight with the wicked. He even has no power to defend the Buddha he respects. He can't help the greed of the world, and the Dharma he recites everyday is useless to these people. He opened his mouth and said nothing. Despair swallowed up all the words. He looked at them, eyes can not even shed tears, he said: my eyes do not want to see you. I can't give you the money to build the tower. Take my eyes away. He stretched out his fingers and dug them into his eyes. The blood came out and gushed out. He dug out his eyes and put them in his hands. The blood was dripping from his hands. He said, take it. No one answered; he said take it, but the man was gone, and he heard the echo of his voice.
Monk Pushan heard people's crying in the four villages under the pagoda the next day. People began to build the pagoda in tears. When monk Pushan heard the sound of building the pagoda, people buried his eyes in the base of the pagoda. He touched the tower and rose higher and higher. A year later, the tower was completed. It is said that whenever the sunset shines on the tower, strange light is emitted from the base to the Tasha. But the monk Pushan couldn't see it. He opened his empty eyes in vain. He felt his way up the spiral path inside the tower. His bald head sensed the wind on the tower, and felt that the wind from each tower was different. At dusk, he heard people exclaim at the pagoda of light. He felt that the light on the pagoda was also the light of his eyes.
This is the past that has been forgotten for a long time. It's very sad to tell it again. We need to praise the power of goodness, the power of advocating goodness, and the euphemistic change of goodness in the world.
At the beginning of the Qing Dynasty, the relic tower collapsed more than half again, and the monks were determined to rebuild it. Maybe it was the deeds of his predecessors that inspired him, and he also went everywhere to make love for lack of funds; maybe it was the reconstruction of the pagoda that inspired the world, and Shanxiu soon got enough funds. Shanxiu is a man similar to Pushan. His figure and deeds gradually overlap with Pushan. Therefore, he flashed by in his narration. In 1751, the relic tower was rebuilt. When the foundation was excavated, a stone box and a stone tablet were excavated. On the tablet, it is recorded that "a bead of relic was buried under the tower when the tower was built in kaihuang year of Sui Dynasty"; in the stone box, there are gold bottles and silver bottles, which contain thousands of relic.
There are some miraculous things about the relic Tower: the old tower
