Manchunman Buddhist temple is located in the Dai garden of Menghan Town, Jinghong City, Xishuangbanna Dai Autonomous Prefecture. It was built in 583 AD and has a history of more than 1400 years. It is one of the local famous Buddhist temples. It is said that it is the first Buddhist temple built after Buddhism was introduced into Xishuangbanna. However, the original Buddhist temple was destroyed in the 1960s, and now people see that the Buddhist temple was built in the late 1970s.
Manchuman Buddhist temple enjoys a high reputation in Southeast Asia. During the annual major Buddhist activities, monks and religious people from Sri Lanka, Thailand, Myanmar, Laos, Xishuangbanna and other places gather at manchuman Buddhist temple to worship and chant scriptures. Therefore, the incense here is exuberant, and the Buddhist temples, pagodas, misty incense and the chanting sound of young monks add to the quietness and mystery. The main hall standing in the center is the main body of the complex, covering an area of 490 square meters. The hall is 23.5 meters long and 21 meters wide, and is rectangular. There are auspicious birds lying and standing at the end of the roof, and a number of pottery ornaments in the middle. The indoor Buddha Hall is tall and wide, and 44 circular concrete columns with diameters of 0.4 m and 0.6 m are arranged on both sides of the hall. The column is 12 meters high, and the low one is also 4 or 5 meters. All the columns take red as the base color, and use gold powder to draw patterns for ornaments, which makes them resplendent.

Manchun is full of Dai language, meaning huayuanzhai. It is said that the Xuanwei envoy of Jinghong once sent people to plant flowers here.
