Sexu temple in Shiqu

Located about 10 kilometers away from Shiqu County, Sichuan Province, China, sexu temple, a famous temple in the snow area, was founded in 1760. It has 15 Living Buddhas, 5 Kanbu, more than 20 gexi and more than 800 monks. There are five Kanglin (branches) and fifteen zhenzha (classes) under the temple. The temple has a good system of learning scriptures. It has been highly praised by Banchan masters and other eminent monks and celebrities twice. Sexu temple is the only Gelu (yellow) sect temple in Kangqu that has the ability to confer "gexi" degree qualification. The living Buddha of Chiba tubdan quejijianzan has been appointed as the 37th fatai of Sesu temple since 1983. Sexu temple is the largest temple group in Ganzi Prefecture, which is composed of more than 100 temples. There are tens of thousands of Buddhist statues and Sutras in the temple. Among them, the statue of Maitreya Buddha (about 19 meters high), which is known as the second largest Buddha in Tibet, the two-story copper gilded relic tower, and the staff of famous ancient Indian temples are the most precious. Due to well-known reasons, the temple could not be repaired and damaged for a long time. After the implementation of the national religious policy, Chiba living Buddha did a lot of work for the restoration and opening of the temple. The "Paradise Sutra hall" and the "Paradise Mandala" built in the hall, as well as 1151 Buddha statues with Buddha as the main body worshipped in the hall, of which the largest three are the Western Sansheng, three meters high, and the bronze gilded statues have been invested by a Buddhist in Fuzhou. The rest of the large, medium and small Buddha statues have also been funded by the four disciples. The construction of Sutra hall, mandala and Buddha statues is to make the four disciples come to practice in the scene of contemplation, practice and enlightenment, and finally get the guidance of Amitabha Buddha, which can prove that they can get the ultimate liberation in the blissful world: free from life and death, break through reincarnation.
