Hebei Folk Custom Museum
Hebei Folk Custom Museum is the only provincial folk custom museum in Hebei Province. Its main task is to collect ancient and modern folk cultural relics and folk custom materials, conduct scientific research, hold exhibitions and carry forward traditional culture. It is a public welfare institution to educate the masses on ideology and morality, local knowledge and patriotism. Hebei Folk Custom Museum was established in June 1998 and officially opened to the public on October 22, 1999.

Hebei Folk Custom Museum has been open to the public for free since May 18, 2005. According to the introduction of Hebei Folk Custom Museum, the main building of the museum is a garden like building imitating the Qing Dynasty, with a total construction area of more than 5000 square meters, including 6 exhibition halls, with an area of more than 2000 square meters. There are also cultural relics storehouses, office buildings, etc. the greening and buildings in the museum area provide visitors with a visiting environment.
Architectural features
Hebei Folk Custom Museum embodies the word "folk custom" in terms of architecture, decoration and exhibition content, which can be called "Folk Village in the city". The architectural structure of Hebei Folk Custom Museum abides by the traditional rules. The four rows of buildings in the southeast, northwest and East are connected end to end, forming the "mouth" shaped pattern of the Southern Courtyard in the Ming and Qing Dynasties. The roof is shaped like a ridge of "Xieshan style", and the windows are traditional Ruyi style. In addition, there are "Zhenjiao beast" squatting on the high cornice of the roof, powerful stone lions and red lanterns at the gate, decorative patterns of "ten thousand words can't reach the end" on the walls of the exhibition hall, and "lianmianshou characters" symbolizing longevity and auspiciousness on the pillars.

Representative collection
According to the introduction of Hebei Folk Custom Museum, there are 93192 cultural relics in the collection, including 50657 ancient cultural relics and 42535 modern and contemporary traditional arts and crafts treasures. In particular, the collection of the masterpieces of many national and provincial arts and crafts masters and Li Tieying's ceramic works has enriched the collection system of the museum and filled the gap that there is no collection of contemporary traditional arts and crafts treasures in the museum circle of the province.
Thematic display
There are four fixed displays in Hebei Folk Custom Museum, which are folk fan collection, Wuqiang New Year picture art, Qing Dynasty furniture display and famous young workers' treasures. Based on a large number of folk cultural relics and photos, the exhibition uses modern technology to vividly capture the folk customs of Yanzhao and become a window for people to know and understand Hebei. At the same time, the Museum held a number of unique temporary exhibitions to meet the public's demand for scientific and cultural knowledge.
Folk daily necessities collection hall is some daily necessities used by the old people in the late Qing Dynasty. Food utensils, clothing accessories, study utensils, daily necessities and so on, cover all aspects of people's life. In this exhibition hall, the main color is blue, the display cabinet is dark blue, and the ceiling, exhibition wall and carpet are light blue.
The exhibition hall of Wuqiang New Year pictures mainly displays Wuqiang New Year pictures in Hengshui, Hebei Province, which have been listed in the national intangible cultural heritage list. In this exhibition hall, white is the main color. On the white wall, there is a glass picture frame with a dark brown frame. In the picture frame, the red and green Wuqiang New Year pictures set off by dark blue cardboard are more prominent.
The Qing Dynasty furniture display hall shows the audience a family in the upper class of the late Qing Dynasty. It has a hall, a bedroom, a study, and corresponding mahogany furniture and daily necessities. The walls of this exhibition hall are mainly in light silver gray.
The Ming and Qing porcelain treasures hall, which mainly displays porcelains, adopts a warm color of tawny. The tawny log exhibition wall sets off the noble and cool color of Ming and Qing porcelains, plus the red carpet and black ceiling, creating a dignified artistic atmosphere.
Hebei ceramic art exhibition shows modern ceramics, so the main color of this exhibition hall is goose yellow. The goose yellow wall with exquisite and gorgeous modern ceramics, a change of the previous exhibition hall showed dignified and long-term.
social influence
The roving exhibitions held by Hebei Folk Custom Museum are active in factories, mines, communities, primary and secondary schools in the provincial capital and some counties and cities in the whole province. They bring traditional culture, scientific knowledge and Party policies and regulations to thousands of households, and also enhance the museum's social service ability.
Academic culture
Hebei Folk Custom Museum has published more than 100 articles and more than 10 Monographs in various academic journals. In particular, the compilation and publication of Hebei Folk Culture from book (a total of 10 volumes) has played a promoting role in further studying Hebei Folk Culture, promoting Hebei Folk Art, publicizing Hebei, building a harmonious society and promoting the development of cultural undertakings.
Honors
In 1999, Hebei Folk Custom Museum was named as the second batch of patriotic education base in Hebei Province by Hebei provincial Party committee and government. In 2008, Hebei Provincial Arts and Crafts Museum was established. In 2009, Hebei Provincial folk custom museum won the national second level museum qualification.
Foreign exchange
After the Hebei Folk Custom Museum was officially opened to the public, it launched the exhibition of folk cultural relics for the first time, which was well received by all walks of life. In the same year, it was named the second batch of patriotic education bases in Hebei Province by the Hebei provincial Party committee and the provincial government. In 2000, Hebei Folklore Museum and Hebei University jointly established Hebei Folklore Research Institute to better promote the development of Hebei folklore culture. At the same time, Hebei University established Hebei Folklore Museum as an experimental base for folklore teaching.

The "World Expo and Museum" forum held by Hebei Folk Custom Museum was held in Hebei Folk Custom Museum. "Hebei ceramic art exhibition", "folk goods collection exhibition", "Qing Dynasty Home Furnishings Exhibition" and other folk exhibitions are normally open to the outside world.

On June 8, 2012, in order to welcome the cultural heritage day and display the artistic style of Tangshan Ceramics in Hebei Province, Hebei Folk Custom Museum specially held the activity of "singing birds and fragrant flowers - Hebei Tangshan colored porcelain art exhibition".

On July 11, 2012, Hebei Folk Custom Museum invited folk artists to visit the museum to enjoy and make folk handicrafts with young people.
