Old bridge
Old bridge, famous town sea bridge, located in Tunxi District, Huangshan City, Anhui Province, is a provincial cultural relics protection unit. It was first built in 1536 of Jiajing of Ming Dynasty, rebuilt in 1676 of Kangxi of Qing Dynasty, destroyed by water in 1695 of Kangxi of Qing Dynasty and rebuilt in 1699 of Kangxi of Qing Dynasty. It is 133 meters long and 15 meters wide. It is a stone arch bridge with six piers and seven holes. It is one of the rare large-scale ancient stone arch bridges in Anhui Province.
The old bridge is located at Sanjiangkou (the intersection of Xin'anjiang, Liushui and Hengjiang) of Tunxi District, Huangshan City, Anhui Province, China, and at the west end of Tunxi Old Street. It crosses over the Hengjiang River and connects Tunxi Old Street and Liyang Town from east to west. The bridge is a large stone arch bridge with six piers and seven holes, with a total length of 133 meters and a width of 15 meters. It was first built in 1536, the 15th year of Jiajing reign of Ming Dynasty. Now it was rebuilt in 1699, the 38th year of Kangxi reign of Qing Dynasty after being destroyed by water. The pier is an isosceles triangle, with a water head on the west side and a bow shape. In order to protect the bridge, isolation piers and warning signs have been set at both ends of the bridge to prohibit motor vehicles.
