Jinjishan

Jinji mountain is a small island very close to Sijiao. There is a fishing village on the island. It is a good photographic subject to climb high and look at the fishing port. It is located 2.8 kilometers north of Caiyuan Town, and the nearest shore of Shengsi Island, only a hundred meters away, separated by a Jianmen waterway. The waterway is fast and spectacular, which is called "Jianmen torrent". The island was originally named Jimingshan, because it is close to xiaojinjishan Island, so it is named. The island covers an area of 1.72 square kilometers. Except for the slightly open valley of jinji'ao, the rest are slope Xiaoao. The highest is niubeiji mountain, with an altitude of 132.5 meters. The forest coverage rate is about 50%. Most of the residents are engaged in fishing and live in six natural villages with a population of more than 4000. Township system was established in 1934, now known as Jinping township. The township government is located in huangnikan village. Before the 1970s, the island's high-quality "three alum jellyfish skin" sold well in the domestic market, known as the "hometown of jellyfish".

Jinjishan

Jinji mountain is the coastal defense site of zhenhaikou, and it is the operational command center of Zhenhai campaign in 1885 Sino French war. Ouyang Lijian, a patriotic general of the Qing Dynasty, once commanded the battle here and won a great victory in the main battle. He wrote a glorious page in the history of the Chinese nation's resistance to aggression.

In November 1996, as a part of zhenhaikou coastal defense site, Jinjishan Laotai was announced by the State Council as a national key cultural relics protection unit. Ruian, Hubei, Lechang, Pingxiang and Fuzhou also have Jinjishan.

Surrounding sites

Jinji mountain is surrounded by Beilun coastal defense sites, covering an area of about 4 square kilometers. There are more than 30 well preserved important sites and cultural relics, which are mainly distributed in Jinji mountain, Qijia mountain, Lishan Mountain and jiakoumen mountain. These relics are mainly military defense facilities, including fort, blockhouse, bunker, lookout tower, trench, levee, barracks, beacon tower, etc., involving countless battles against Japan, Britain, France, Japan, etc.
