Ruijin revolutionary martyrs memorial
In order to praise the revolutionary martyrs and educate and inspire the posterity, the people's Government of Jiangxi Province approved the construction of Ruijin revolutionary martyrs memorial hall in April 1953, which was completed and opened in 1955.
Introduction to the memorial
During the second Civil Revolutionary War, Ruijin people, under the leadership of the Communist Party of China, fought hard against the enemy and made great sacrifices. More than 35000 people gave their precious lives for the revolution (of which more than 18000 people could not collect their names). Countless red heroes dyed the hot land of "red old capital" with blood, and tens of millions of revolutionaries gave their lives Taking care of the "cradle of the Republic", the heroes made great contributions to the founding of the Republic and wrote a glorious chapter in the history of Chinese revolution.
In April 1953, Jiangxi Provincial People's Government approved the construction of Ruijin revolutionary martyrs memorial hall. The museum was first built in Ruijin city. It was opened in 1955. In 1979, it was moved to Taxia Temple scenic spot for reconstruction. It was opened in April 1986. In 1995, the Ministry of Civil Affairs awarded the title of the first batch of national patriotic education bases and advanced units in the management of national revolutionary martyrs memorial buildings.
Collection
The museum collects 10265 cultural relics, including 45 first-class collections and 90 second-class collections, 10220 historical materials and more than 2000 books and magazines. The museum has an auxiliary exhibition hall, covering an area of about 1828 square meters. It has held the "cultural relics exhibition of the central revolutionary base area", with more than 800 exhibits, including 602 cultural relics

With a construction area of 3320m2 and a line length of 327m, the exhibition hall is divided into a preface hall, a memorial hall, exhibition rooms No.1-5 and a rest room. There is a list of 17394 martyrs in the museum, displaying the portraits, relics and life stories of more than 100 famous martyrs and generals, so as to raise the spirits of the martyrs, comfort the loyal souls, and show the future generations for people to visit and look forward to

The memorial covers an area of 60000 square meters. The scenery is divided into four areas: front area, middle area, back area and riverside area. In the front area, there are stone sculptures "sending Lang Dang to the Red Army". In the middle area, there is a giant Mao Zeqin monument inscribed by Comrade Deng Xiaoping. The octagonal martyr Pavilion echoes it. In the back area, the exhibition hall is at the top of the stadium. In the riverside area, there is a "Dragon Ball" built during the Wanli period of the Ming Dynasty ”Ancient pagoda and natural ecological landscape garden. Since its reopening in April 1986, nearly 2 million Chinese and foreign tourists have come to visit with reverence for the older generation of revolutionaries and revolutionary martyrs, received revolutionary tradition education, and presented flower baskets or flowers to a hero and a model of a hundred generations.
