It is located between Baofang village, Shengshan village and Kangshan village in the north suburb of Yangming street, Yuyao City. It is 1.5km away from Yuyao City. The main peak is 147m above sea level. It is said that it was the garrison where Liu Jianzhi defeated sun en and returned from the Jin Dynasty. Shengguishan got its name from this. There are many stones on the mountain with good quality. It has always been a quarrying base, so it is also called dashishan.

There are many cliff carvings on the mountain, which are divided into three parts in the East and the West; Dongshan cliff is divided into two parts, the upper part is gourd shaped, the lower part is stone, the water is dark green, the echo is rippling, and the deep part is engraved with the four characters "Yuyao spectacular", which makes the cliff situation magnificent and dangerous. The downhill cliff is oval in shape. There are passes in front of it, and there are also ups and downs. The water is clear and the air is cool. Xishan cliff is high and open, like a big screen, with Sun Yat Sen carved on the stone, which was carved in the early Republic of China. However, the central part was named Hu Gongyan in memory of the historical figure Hu Zongxian. Hu Zongxian, whose name is ruqin, was born in Jixi, Anhui Province. He was a Jinshi of Jiajing in Ming Dynasty, and was appointed as the commander of Yuyao county. When he was an official, he decided to take shengguishan as the county seat. To the north, he sat in Zhenshan and prohibited quarrying. In memory of the good official, Li Mu, a native of the city, carved stone on the mountain to record his historical achievements. In the Ming and Qing Dynasties and the early Republic of China, stone statues of Duke Hu were carved on the mountain, and more than ten Buddha statues were carved nearby. Since then, tourists and pilgrims have flourished and become a major historic site in Yaobei. Since June 1981, Yuyao County People's government announced that it was a county-level cultural relics protection unit, tourists have become more prosperous.

In 1960, Yuyao revolutionary martyrs cemetery was built in the northwest corner of Hu Gongyan, where 71 martyrs, including Chen Hong, were buried. Now, the cemetery is covered with camphor trees and colorful flowers, adding a new scene to Shenggui mountain.

Shengguishan left many chanting poems of tourists in Ming and Qing Dynasties. Under the statue of Jigong, there is Bai Juyi's five character metrical poem "the night cry of the compassionate bird", which is quite representative. If a hundred birds have no mother, you only have deep sorrow. It should be the mother's kindness that makes you unable to bear it. In the past, if there were Wu Qi, the mother would not be lost. If a bird is a disciple, his heart is not as good as that of a bird. If a bird is a kind bird, it is the one who once participated in it. " After reading this poem, the Wanderers and pilgrims often feel a lot of emotion.

In recent years, in order to carry forward the famous culture and develop tourism, in addition to building the original rugged mountain road into stone concrete road, new pavilions and Hu Gongyan temples were built beside the road. In the gap between the mountains and rocks, the ancient cypresses are lush, the green bamboos are whirling, the water is dark green, and the depth is unfathomable. On the top of the green Shenggui mountain, overlooking Yao City to the south, you can see the crisscross fields, winding roads, towering buildings, racing cars and boats, and the prosperous scenery.
