cultural landmark
At the beginning of the 20th century, Harbin was already a city immersed in church bells. St. Alexeyev church came into being under this background. It was built in the heyday of the construction of Harbin church at that time. Its grand scale, magnificent shape and warm religious atmosphere made it an outstanding religious building and a Byzantine art center Bincheng, an indispensable landscape and memory, has become one of the cultural landmarks of Harbin.
Harbin is a romantic city full of foreign flavor with unique character and temperament. As early as the early 20th century, people in Europe and America called Harbin "Moscow in the East" and "little Paris in the Far East". Today, it is not difficult to find the origin of such a cultural background: those Chinese and foreign exiles who fled the war a hundred years ago mistakenly regarded other places as their hometown, and built Harbin according to the appearance of their homeland, making Harbin a city "alienated" by foreign culture.
Harbin is famous for its unique architecture. The churches are like pearls in the buildings. The unique culture of the church radiates the unique charm of the church and creates the unique charm landscape of Harbin, a famous tourist city. It has become a must visit place for many tourists and a new and growing tourist attraction in Harbin.
Architectural features

There are Baroque tower, onion head clock tower and Catholic Church on the roof. There is a cross above the clock tower, tower and Catholic Church.
This church is different from the classical Church in Russia. Russian classical style church architecture is Byzantine, its shape and style are almost based on St. Sophia's Cathedral in Constantinople. It was not until the 16th century that the Russians overthrew the rule of foreign nations and became a centralized country that they began to build the church into a Russian style building. Russian architects living in cold regions changed the dome of Byzantine church into a tent spire according to the characteristics of regional climate, so that the snow could not be retained. Inspired by the bell dome of Arabian church, the roofs of some churches were designed in the shape of a ball, and some of them were compatible with these two shapes, forming a sharp circle and high and low staggered Russian architectural style.

The green roof and red and white brick walls of the church are very elegant under the sunlight. Three Catholic crosses stand on three domes of different sizes.
