General Military Department of Jinmen town in Qing Dynasty
The General Military Department of the Qing Dynasty, formerly known as "Cong Qingxuan", was the former residence of Xu Xun, a rural scholar of the Ming Shenzong in Wanli year. Due to its moderate location and spacious space, it has been used as the office of the government since the Qing Dynasty. During the reign of Emperor Kangxi, Chen long, the commander-in-chief, was transformed into the general headquarters. In 1915, he served as the county office. In 1949, the Ministry of defense, the Fujian provincial government and the 1957 Jinmen Political Committee all worked here. Now, he is a national third-class historic site.
