Longqiao River

Longqiao River, a world-class underground river, is located in the southeast of Tiankeng Dixie scenic spot in Fengjie County, Chongqing, among the high mountains in Longqiao Tujia Township, Fengjie County, with an altitude of more than 1500 meters.

Longqiao river has a total length of 3.3 kilometers. Its source is under the hanging rock of suolongzhu. Yinhe River gushes out from the ground, forming a clear river, like a light green narrow ribbon. The clear and crystal water glides quietly on the uneven small stones. The four seasons are long and winding, winding mountains and rocks, leisurely passing through beauty waterfall and maiden waterfall, through the dragon bridge, into Yunlong cave? Also known as Xiaoshui cave? And finally into the underground river without any trace.

It comes from the Yinhe River and goes to the Yinhe river. Although it is only so long on the ground, it has nine turns and eighteen turns. The scenery is beautiful and charming. The most peculiar is the dragon bridge, which is more than 60 meters high. It was originally a stone peak like a wall. It was washed open by water. It is also called Tiansheng bridge. On the bridge, a road was built and a Yunlong temple was built. It is very magnificent. The marvelous Yunlong cave, with cold wind in spring and hot wind in winter, is often filled with clouds and fog, forming a very beautiful and magical landscape. In Longqiao village, people also found a strange cave named Chaotian cave, which has seven exits and three floors. The first layer is an ancient primitive cave, with stalactites and drip springs. The terrain is very complex. The second floor is the middle-aged cave, which is in the form of a large hall. It is very spacious and can accommodate thousands of people. The third layer is a circular pipe, which is connected with each other.

According to the proved data, Longqiao river is a part of underground river. The river is named after the bridge, and the bridge has a beautiful legend: I do not know in which generation, a dragon locked in a deep mountain, wanted to go to the sea, was blocked by the mountains, in a hurry, it knocked open the door; not far ahead, another higher peak was in front. The Dragon bumped into the mountain and opened a cave. However, Jiaolong never came out of the mountain again. Since 1995, Longqiao underground river exploration has been listed as a major cave research project of China and France. The Sino French joint exploration team has tried to find the outlet of Longqiao Underground River four times, but they all failed. In 2004, after several days of investigation, the Sino French joint exploration team finally found the underground river outlet, and thus accurately measured its length of 50 km, successfully found its outlet in Banqiao Town, Enshi, and accurately measured the length of the underground river system. The results show that the length of Longqiao underground river reaches 50 km, which is the longest underground river system in the world so far. It is more than 10 kilometers longer than the Disu river system, the longest underground river recognized in China in the past. And it has become the longest underground river ever found on the earth. When Yunlong cave entered more than 5000 meters, they found that there was an underground lake 100 meters wide and 300 meters long. The lake was very deep and fish were swimming. What is particularly peculiar is a small fish similar to Tadpole and silver carp. It is 89 cm long and 34 cm in diameter. Its head is flat and very large. There are two black spots of sesame size on its forehead, which may be degenerated eyes.

Longqiao underground river is a large karst cave formed by the erosion and dissolution of underground river, mainly by the erosion and transportation of flowing water. It is very rare to find such a huge underground river system as Longqiao underground river in karst area. It is helpful for us to understand the development degree of tectonic fissures, the situation of crustal uplift and river fall, and to restore paleogeography, paleoclimate environment and some processes of geological historical evolution. It is of great value for science popularization, appreciation and scientific research. Over the years, a series of discoveries of Longqiao underground river have aroused strong repercussions in the world. It is reported that the relevant departments of Hubei and Chongqing, where the Longqiao underground river system is located, are working together to develop and build a world-class Geopark. Longqiao River scenic spot is a wonderful place to get close to nature and return to nature. The highest temperature in summer is about 25 degrees. It is an excellent place for many travelers to camp outdoors.

In the first week after the official business resumption of the scenic spot (subject to the official notice of the scenic spot), tourists from all over the country can exchange one free ticket at the ticket offices of Baidi City, tiankengdixiang, longqiaohe and Kuizhou ancient city scenic spots with their valid ID cards. Each ID card is only for one ticket of the above scenic spots and can only be used by themselves.

From the second to the fourth week (including the fourth week) after the official resumption of business of the scenic spot (subject to the official notice of the scenic spot), Hubei tourists can exchange one free ticket at the ticket offices of Baidi City, Tiankeng Dixie, longqiaohe and Kuizhou ancient city with their valid ID cards. Each ID card can only be exchanged for one ticket for the above scenic spots and can only be used by themselves.

All medical workers and their spouses and children can visit Baidi City, Tiankeng Dixie, Longqiao River and Kuizhou ancient city scenic spots free of charge from the date when the scenic spot officially resumes business (subject to the official notice of the scenic spot) to December 31, 2020.

Medical workers (with their doctor's card or nurse's card and their valid ID card) and their spouses and children (with their household register or marriage certificate and their valid ID card) go directly to the ticket office of the above scenic spot, show their certificates and exchange corresponding tickets according to the requirements of the scenic spot. Each ID card can only be exchanged for one ticket of the above scenic spot and can only be used by myself.
