Shengshan hunting ground is located in the transition zone between the big and small Xing'an Mountains. There are 32 species of wild animals in 14 families of 5 orders, 65 species of birds in 24 families of 11 orders, mainly including moose, red deer, black bear, wild boar, lynx, red fox, roe deer, snow rabbit, flying dragon, black grouse, pheasant, etc. Scholars from the wildlife department of Northeast Agricultural University often come here to investigate the living conditions of wild animals. It's common to find the snow remains of animals. If you are lucky, you can collide with wild boars and roe deer in the dense Guosong gully. The hunting and breeding farm covers a total area of 160 square kilometers and is divided into three districts. The hunting area is located in the north of the forest farm, covering an area of 114 square kilometers; the animal breeding area is located in the original Jiangsong forest in guosonggou; the diversified operation area is located on both sides of the highway and near the residential area, mainly for the domestication and breeding of wild animals, and the planting of economic plants and animal feed.

Development status

Since the establishment of Shengshan hunting and breeding farm was approved by the state, Shengshan forest farm has set up a special organization, equipped with special personnel to carry out various preparations and start-up work. There are two checkpoints in the site, many salt farms are established, and hunting prohibition and protection measures are taken. We have trained the hunting guides to make them familiar with the mountain and terrain, understand and master the species, quantity, habitat and activity rules of wild animals in the hunting ground, and provide guarantee for the maximum success rate of hunting guests. The forest farm can accommodate 40 people and eat 100 people. There are two activity tents and hunting houses in the hunting area. Now, according to the state's forestry policy, more than ten forest classes in the forest farm have been designated as closed Hillsides for afforestation, which is extremely beneficial to the survival and reproduction of wild animals.

Shengshan hunting and breeding farm is not only a place for hunting lovers, but also a place for tourists. Here is the hometown of Korean pine. The luxuriant and tall Korean pine forest is a wonder. Pinus koraiensis is an evergreen tree species. The mother tree of Pinus koraiensis has pine cones. The pinecones inside the pinecones are crisp and fragrant, and they are the top quality of dried fruits. Therefore, Pinus koraiensis is also called Pinus koraiensis. The valley where Pinus koraiensis grows has the name of guosonggou. In the cold winter, the Korean pine is still lush, and the green crown appears green and full of vitality against the white snow. The crown of Pinus koraiensis here is straight, 20-25m high and 80-100 years old. It has high ornamental value and high scientific research value. Shengshan forest farm is the only place where Korean pine forest grows in Aihui district and Northern County of Heihe city. It is the maximum north latitude of Korean pine forest growth. It is a peculiar phenomenon in forestry that there are lots of Korean pine forest growing in Shengshan forest farm.

In addition to Korean pine, there are also spruce, fir, birch, oak, huangboluo, Fraxinus mandshurica, baomazi, acanthopanax senticosus, hazelnut and other trees and shrubs. There are abundant berry resources such as Diospyros kaki and Lonicera edulis.

There are 32 large and small rivers, 32 large and small ridges, dense streams, crisscross mountains, water color and mountain light, just like a picture. The South River flowing through the hunting ground is quiet, reflecting the mountains and trees. The scenery is beautiful. The South River is a tributary of the xunbeira river. There are abundant cold water fish resources in the river, mainly including fine scales, Zhero, Jinxian, liuyinchi, etc. Nanhe River can be used for drifting exploration and fishing cold water fish.
