Huatang ancient village
Huatang ancient village is located in Jinting town in the east of Shengzhou City, 25 kilometers away from Shengzhou City and Xikou of Fenghua. The ancient village is surrounded by "thousands of rocks competing for beauty and thousands of gullies competing for current"; it is called the land of Hidden Dragon and crouching tiger in ancient times, with a variety of beautiful sceneries and beautiful sceneries. In the 11th year of Yonghe (355 A.D.) in the Eastern Jin Dynasty, Wang Xizhi, a great calligrapher, admired the landscape of Jinting and brought his wife and son to live in seclusion here. He died six years later and was buried in the southern foot of waterfall mountain. The descendants of the sage of calligraphy have lived in the Huatang of Jinting for 1700 years, which has become a beautiful ancient village.
