Outside the Golden Coast reserve, there is a golden beach stretching for 30 kilometers, 50-150 meters wide, and the slope is generally less than 5 degrees. The sand particles are mainly medium fine sand, with good sorting and high roundness. The coastal sandbanks are distributed parallel to the coast in a long strip shape. The seaward slope is scoured by the tide and forms a scarp, with a height of 2-4 meters, forming a beach protection zone. Coastal sand dunes are the main part of the natural landscape in the reserve. The whole sand dune belt is steep, gentle, crisscross, undulating and orderly, presenting a pinnate pattern and spectacular. This is a rare place for summer recreation, known as "coastal desert".
The most attractive sport on the gold coast is sand skiing. Sitting on a wooden sand board, whistling down from the Sand Mountain tens of meters high, it's very exciting and fun. There are two ways to slide sand, one is to slide from the sand mountain to the bottom of the valley, the other is to slide to the sea. In addition to sand skiing, there are also hot-air balloons, tourist helicopters, parachutes, and cruises on the sea world. Overall, the water quality and beach are not as good as Beidaihe, and it is far away from Beidaihe, so the traffic is not very convenient.

brief introduction
Gold Coast nature reserve Gold Coast nature reserve is one of the first five national marine nature reserves approved by the State Council on September 30, 1990. It covers an area of 30000 hectares, including 10000 hectares of land and 20000 hectares of sea area.
The nature reserve is located in the coastal area of Changli County, Qinhuangdao City, northeast Hebei Province, covering an area of 300 square kilometers. It is divided into land and sea areas. The land area starts from the South Bank of Dapu River in the north, reaches the North Bank of Luanhe River in the south, and starts from the low tide line in the East. The depth of East and West is 2-4 kilometers, covering an area of 91.5 square kilometers. The sea area starts from 39 ° 37 ′ n in the north, 39 ° 32 ′ n in the south, low tide line in the West and 119 ° 37 ′ E in the East, covering an area of 208.5 square kilometers. The main protected objects of the reserve are the natural landscape of sandy coast composed of sand dunes, sand dikes, lagoons, forest belts and marine organisms, as well as the ecological environment and natural resources of the sea area. It is a typical coastal section for studying marine dynamic process and sea land change, and has important ecological value, scientific research value and ornamental value.
Changli County is known as the hometown of flowers, fruits, fish, rice and culture. Especially in terms of culture, there are traces of the Qin emperor, Han Wu and Li Shimin in Jieshi mountain. In the Ming Dynasty, there is a Korean ancestral hall. It is said that Han Yu's ancestral home is Changli, and his nephew Xiangzi was cultivated in the eight immortals cave in Jieshi mountain. Li Dazhao also lived several times.
There are more than 40 sand dunes distributed on the sandy coast of the Gold Coast nature reserve, with the highest point of 44 meters, which is the highest peak of coastal sand dunes in China. The steep and gently crisscrossed sand dunes, endless sand beaches and blue sea constitute the unique marine desert scenery in China and rare in the world. Amphioxus, known as "living fossil" by zootaxonomists, is the dominant species of benthos in this area. The density of amphioxus reaches 1035 individuals / m2 near the 10-12m isobath in shallow water, which is one of the areas with the highest distribution density of amphioxus in China. This is the kingdom of birds. Almost one-third of the birds in China can be found here. Among them, there are 68 species of birds under the state key protection. It is one of the main habitats of the "world rare bird" black Headed Gull.
geographical position
The reserve is located in Changli coastal area, northeast of Hebei Province, starting from Dapu river mouth in the north and Luanhe River mouth in the south, bounded by the western edge of sand dune forest belt and lagoon in the West and near the 10 meter isobath of shallow sea in the East, with a total length of 30 km.
natural environment
Due to the influence of river, current and wind, the unique coastal dune landscape in the reserve is formed. Coastal sand dunes are the main part of the natural landscape of the reserve. The width of the sand dunes is 1-2km, the height is generally 20-30m, and the highest point is 45m. Overlooking the sand dunes, it is like a golden mountain range, which is very spectacular and rare at home and abroad. Therefore, it is known as the "Gold Coast". It is an important place to study ocean dynamics and sea land changes. There are dozens of kilometers of forest belts inside the sand dunes (Fig. 1). Qilihai lagoon is located in the central and southern part of the coast, covering an area of 850 hectares. It is the largest semi closed lagoon in China. At the northeast end of the lagoon, there is a newly opened tidal channel, which is 2 km long and 200-400 m wide, connecting with the sea. It is a channel for marine organisms to migrate to the Qili sea and spawn. From west to East, it is alluvial proluvial plain, lagoon plain, marine plain, beach, underwater slope and shallow sea. The annual average temperature is 10.1 ~ 11.0 ℃, and the wind is the largest in spring, which has a significant impact on the distribution and migration of sand dunes. The annual variation range of sea level in the area is low in winter and high in summer, and the average tidal range is less than 1 m. The occurrence probability of big waves in the area is small, and the wave height is generally 0.4-1.5 M. The sediment in the sea area is mainly fine sand with slow velocity and high transparency, which is suitable for amphioxus growth.
plant resources
The vegetation in the Reserve belongs to Sandy and wet coastal vegetation. There are mainly Carex sarmentosus, asparagus, hezhangxiao, kidney leaf bowl flower, alfalfa and so on. In addition, there are artificial cultivation of Robinia pseudoacacia, Buxus microphylla, Robinia pseudoacacia, willow, tree height of about 10 meters.
Animal resources
There are about 200 species of animals in the nature reserve, of which 168 species are birds, accounting for more than 95% of the total. It is the gathering place of migratory birds in the north. There are mainly gulls, ducks, Snipes, some raptors, waders, songbirds, climbers and so on. There are a wide range of marine organisms, including 53 species of copepod zooplankton, 78 species of swimming organisms such as eel and yellow crucian carp, and more than 150 species of shallow benthic animals such as amphioxus and Scapharca subcrenata, mainly including yellow croaker, Hemibarbus, Spanish mackerel, tilapia, pike, pomfret, hairtail, Whitefish, abalone, black carp, white striped fish, etc.
Amphioxus is a transitional species from invertebrate to vertebrate, known as "living fossil", which is of great value for the study of animal evolution and development. The highest biomass was 105.5 g / m2 and the distribution density was 1033 individuals / m2.

Bath
The Gold Coast bathing beach is far away from the major pollution sources, more than 40 km away from the Qinhuangdao oil and coal terminal, and about 28 km away from Beidaihe seashore. Due to the effect of wind and current, the pollutants are not easy to drift to the gold coast. According to Qinhuangdao environmental monitoring station, it has carried out several sea drift experiments at the anchorage of Qinhuangdao port. In March, 50% of the drifters landed on the seashore of Beidaihe and Nandaihe, and very few of them could float to the gold coast; in May, they drifted to the coasts of Jinzhou and Suizhong; in August, 60% of the drifters landed on the seashore of Beidaihe and Nandaihe. It can be seen that the polluted oil slick layer formed by the main channel of Qinhuangdao port and oil and coal terminals has a great impact on Beidaihe and Nandaihe seashore, Shanhaiguan and Suizhong areas. The measured results show that the Changli Gold Coast is polluted by organic matter, and its cod, inorganic nitrogen and bottom material sulfide are lower than those of Beidaihe sea area. According to the comprehensive assessment of Qinhuangdao marine environmental monitoring station, most of the sea area of Changli Gold Coast belongs to class I sea water.
The width of the beach is generally 50-100 meters, and the sand is fine and soft, with less shell debris. It is an ideal place for sea bathing, sand bathing and sunbathing. The gold coast is suitable for swimming with wide sea area, clean sea water and high transparency. The isobath within 1.5 meters of the sea area is about 150-200 meters away from the coast. In addition, there are three to five underwater sand dams in the offshore, which greatly reduce the height of the waves.
To sum up, the Golden Coast bathing beach has the characteristics of clear water, fine sand, gentle beach and flat tide. It has a large area and can accommodate 300000 people at the same time. It is one of the 12 famous bathing beaches in China.
Due to the influence of wind, tide, current and river, the seashore of the nature reserve forms a 30 km long and 4 km wide sand belt, several sand dikes along the coast and the appearance of coastal deposition such as sea discharge. Along the inner side of the seashore, there is an 800 meter wide artificial forest belt, in which there are lots of wild vegetation, and there is a continuous sand dune with a height of 20-40 meters. This is rare not only in China, but also in the world. It has important scientific value for the study of land sea changes and marine dynamic effects. At the same time, suitable climatic conditions, peculiar dune landforms and
