development history

The North Lake is closely related to the development of Nanchong culture in history. Since the establishment of Anhan County in the early Western Han Dynasty, it has been a place for officials, gentlemen and people to visit in the city. The villa of Chen Yiqin, the Prime Minister of the Ming Dynasty, is next to Baoen temple on the northwest Bank of the lake. His son, Chen Yubi, was a teacher of Ren Han when he was young. He studied in Jinquan academy near wanjuan tower at the foot of Guoshan in the west of the city. He often traveled to the North Lake and became prime minister in the 22nd year of Wanli. In history, only the Chen family in Nanchong was Prime Minister. Chen Yiqin attached great importance to culture and education. In the fourth year of Longqing, when he returned to Nanchong at the age of 60, he built Jinquan Academy in the west of the city. At that time, the magistrate Rao Jingyun also built Jialing academy by the lake. In the 29th year of Qianlong reign of Qing Dynasty, Shen Danyuan, the magistrate, and Shen Qing, the later magistrate, still built MaoXiu academy near Beihu. In the 25th year of Guangxu reign, the magistrate changed the name of MaoXiu academy to Zhufeng Academy on the horse road Festival.

North Lake is an ancient water area. In the Han Dynasty, it was a "fish pond", and in the Ming Dynasty, it was called "North Lake". During the Wanli period of the Ming Dynasty, Rao Jingyun, the magistrate, built Jiahu academy beside the lake, so it was also called "Jiahu academy". In the eighth year of the Republic of China, the Tianchi Lake was placed in the lake, so it was also called "Lianchi". When the park was built in 1984, it was named "North Lake". Hu Yaobang inscribed the plaque of "Nanchong North Lake Park".

The lake was originally a depression. Due to gradual siltation, the area of the lake was constantly changing, and the boundary around the lake was not clear. At the end of Ming Dynasty and the beginning of Qing Dynasty, the monks of Baoen temple on the North Bank of Huxi often used land to fight with Tuanbao. In the 38th year of the long reign of the Qing Dynasty, yinzhang, a county surnamed Chen, measured Huzhou and made 822 bows. He wrote an inscription on the tablet, stating that no occupation was allowed in the boundary site, so as to maintain the scale of the water surface. When the park was built in 1984, more than 140 mu of land around the water surface was expropriated, making the whole park area 255 mu.

In March 1960, Zhu De, he long, Luo Ruiqing, Kang Keqing and other party and state leaders visited Nanchong and fished in the North Lake.

Before the founding of new China, most of the cities were bungalows. The White Pagoda of the Song Dynasty on Heming mountain on the East Bank of Jialing River was clearly reflected in the pool, which formed one of the eight scenic spots in Nanchong, "the reflection of lotus pond", and matched the flowers and water in the pool.

There are three islands in the lake, oasis in the East, Fucui in the middle and bird music country in the West. The gate of Beihu park is spacious inside and outside. From the small bridge of "bow shadow in Heyuan" to the west, through the quiet bamboo path, there are the statue of Zhang Lan and the square of "inviting the moon in Pinghu", and the "Crystal Dragon Palace" on the side. The appearance of the Dragon Palace is a huge dragon, and the mouth of the dragon is a big gate. Monk Jigong stands outside the gate, waving a palm fan to greet the visitors. The Dragon belly is the Dragon Palace. The Dragon King sits in the palace, like the Dragon King of Donghai flying to Nanchong and settling down in Beihu. Nanchong Beihu park will be closed on February 20, 2019.

Of course, in the process of upgrading the North Lake Park, the optimization of the water environment is the top priority. First, all the black mud at the bottom of the lake will be removed and emptied to a depth of more than 2-3 meters. In addition, aquatic plants are planted in the lake, algae and insects are raised, and the ecological self purification system of symbiotic system of aquatic animals, underwater plants and microorganisms is constructed, so as to repair and maintain the water quality, so as to achieve the effect of clear water throughout the year.

On average, more than 600 people work every day to speed up the construction period; biological treatment technology is adopted to make the lake clear and sparkling; the water area is increased by more than 8000 square meters, and the land area is increased by more than 10000 square meters On the morning of November 10, the construction site of the comprehensive improvement project in Beihu Park was full of tense and busy construction scenes. North Lake Park comprehensive improvement project completed 90% of the total work. According to the schedule, the project will be completed and the park will be opened grandly on New Year's day in 2020.
