Danyun Gorge Scenic Spot starts from Yushu peaks and ends at Fanzi cave. It is one of the "five wonders" of Huanglong with its beautiful scenery.

The gorge is densely forested. It originates from the Fujiang River in Xuebaoding. It is like a white dragon wagging its head and tail, echoing the Yellow Dragon nearby.

Danyun Gorge Scenic Spot starts from Yushu peaks and ends at fanzidong, with a length of 18.5 km, a drop of 1300 m and a height difference of 1000-2000 m between peaks and valleys.

It's white in winter and green in summer. In particular, azaleas are everywhere in spring and maple leaves in autumn are all over the gorge. The scene is like a flaming cloud falling from the sky under the setting sun, so Danyun gorge is named. Clouds grow in the mountains, and trees grow in the wind. Almost every day, clouds and fog rise from the forest in Danyun gorge, winding around the mountains, sometimes looming and sometimes appearing. Swimming here, it's like walking into the world of myth.

Main attractions

Huajiaogou

Zanthoxylum Valley is the first landscape of Danyun gorge, which is named for its wild Zanthoxylum trees. Stepping into the scenic spot, there are dense forests on both sides of the road, wild flowers in full bloom in the bushes, and strange vines and arrowheads on the rocks and trees, like three-dimensional plant sculptures. In autumn, the mountains are red and the forests are dyed. The scenery is especially charming.

Yushuyan

Yushunyan is at the mouth of Danyun gorge, 17 kilometers away from Fuyuan bridge. Looking up, it has many peaks. Some strange looking pines and cypresses and straight spruce stand on the cliff. On the vast forest, there are many peaks that look like bamboo shoots. Among them, yushunyan is the most beautiful one.

Shimaguan

Shimaguan is located 20 kilometers down the Fuyuan bridge. It is named after a smart cage stone horse jumping on the stone wall at the bottom of the valley. Here, there is a narrow canyon between the peaks and the banks, which has the tendency of "one man is in charge of the pass, ten thousand men are not allowed to open".

The best place to watch the shimaguan is the "viewing Pavilion" built on the hillside, where the look of the shimaguan is more realistic. Its head and neck slant across the water, as if it is drinking the water of Fujiang River; its long mane is swept up by the river, like a natural relief of a horse.

Cat squatting

Maoer squats and looks at yushunyan from afar. The rock here is steep. There is a strange stone on the top of the rock. Against the background of blue sky and white clouds, it looks like a squatting civet cat. It seems that it will jump up at any time. At this point, visitors have to stop and take a picture with this magical cat.

Bijia mountain

Walking in the canyon, suddenly you can see a huge natural "penholder" lying in front of you. It is composed of numerous sharp small peaks. From a distance, it looks like a big "penholder". From a close view, it looks like a variety of small "penholders". The thick and straight pines and cypresses are like brushes on the "penholder".

Between the cliffs, a strange and dangerous natural stone hole bridge flies in the air. The bridge is wrapped with ancient vines, covered with moss, and the river under the bridge vibrates. According to research, this bridge is made of wind, rain and water erosion. After hundreds of millions of years, it is still passable. It is a miracle.

Moon cliff

Through the Bijia mountain, the left side of the wall of the green moss green vines eroded out of a wet full moon, one of the bright eyes, this is the "moon cliff.". There are tangles of vines among the cliffs, and the waterfall is hanging high, infiltrating the ups and downs of the "Moon". It is said that there are many mysterious caves that have never been explored, in which there are minerals such as crystal.

Lingbingyan

Fujiang rush here, due to the sudden increase of the terrain drop, the river plummeted down, roaring like thunder. What's wonderful is that deep into the valley, it's another realm: on the steep cliff more than ten feet high, there are several thin springs flowing out, gently falling into the bottom of the valley, making a clear and pleasant sound, just like the music of guzheng, which is very moving.

Long'an ancient road

Danyun gorge is an ancient official post road, which is the only way from Pingwu to Songpan. It is called "Long'an ancient road". The tea produced in Pingwu is sent to Songpan, malkang and Hongyuan prairie. The horses from the grassland are also sent to the mainland through here.

At that time, the ancient road was very busy. Now tourists can pass by the canyon road by car. They can also see the inscriptions of past dynasties standing nearby. On the steep cliffs on both sides, there are also traces of the ancient road of that year.

Bailong Gorge

Fujiang River passes through the jungle and suddenly subsides here. The river water flows down from the cliff tens of meters high, just like a white dragon falling from the sky, forming the most magnificent waterfall in Danyun gorge.

Along the plank road made of logs, you can get to the viewing Pavilion at the bottom of the valley. The viewing Pavilion is built in the face of dangerous rocks. Standing on the viewing Pavilion, the waterfall is close to people. The fierce waves of water mist seem to suck people to the bottom of the valley. The roaring sound of water is soul stirring.

On the side of the cliff, however, there is an elegant and gentle mountain spring, just like a Bailian that goes straight to the heavenly palace. It forms a strong contrast with the waterfall. It combines hardness and softness, and whispers like lovers.

Carved stele waterfall

Here, the rushing Fujiang River is blocked by a huge rock which looks like an eagle. It bumps into the cliff in the East and turns to the southwest. On the high and falling river bed, it depicts several circular river channels turning straight down, and also pours out several heart shaking waterfalls. The river here is named "chazibei waterfall" because there is a "chazibei" handed down from ancient times standing on the bank cliff.

The stone stele is composed of the main stele and the auxiliary stele carried by the giant tortoise. The red ochre stone flowers embroider the stele body, and the characters appear and disappear in the peeling moss. According to the research stele, which was erected more than 1500 years ago, archaeologists can only speculate about the iron and blood achievements recorded on the stele.

It is said that during the Wanli period of the Ming Dynasty, Wan BIE, the magistrate of Songpan at that time, was jealous of the descendants of the aristocrats from Songpan, who were famous in the imperial court. He vowed to kill all the Dragon veins of Songpan, making the people of Songpan more and more stupid and unable to turn over from generation to generation. When he came to Danyun gorge, he saw that the location of the ancient stele was excellent in geomantic omen, so he cursed and said, "the stele fell, the tortoise flew, and the number one scholar came back", which broke the spiritual roots of Songpan students. From then on to the end of the Qing Dynasty, Songpan had never been a number one scholar.

Guanyinyan

Guanyinyan is about 25 kilometers away from Fuyuan bridge. On both sides of the river, there are many strange peaks and dangerous phenomena. It is the narrowest place in Danyun gorge, known as "a line of sky". Because the mountain is steep and the road is rugged, the ancients built a Guanyin temple on the side of the rock in order to prevent rockfall and ice avalanche.

Dragon drop water

Longdishui is a branch of Danyun gorge, where the mountains are undulating and winding, like a giant dragon, the cliffs are covered with springs, and the water drops are like curtains. It is said that this water can cure all diseases. The cave in the cliff is secluded, with stalagmites, stalagmites and unique caves. It is said that some people have seen here that there is a strange light flashing at the bottom of the valley, which is quite mysterious.

Xiaohe ancient city

The ancient town of Xiaohe is located in the valley of Xiaohe Township, Songpan County, with its back against the green mountains and facing the Fujiang River.

Xiaohe ancient city, built in the 11th year of Hongwu in Ming Dynasty, has a history of more than 600 years. The wall is 680 meters long from east to west, 765 meters long from north to south, 4.9 meters thick and 4.5 meters high. There are four gates in the city, all of which are arched with stone bars, and the gate walls are built with bluestones, which are thick and simple.

Fan hole

Fan cave, also known as "Tiefan pass", is 1700 meters above sea level. The stone walls of Jiajiang are less than 20 meters apart. It is the thinnest crack in the geological fault of Fujiang and the most important pass on the Long'an ancient road in the Tang and Song dynasties.

The stone walls here are precipitous, like an iron gate that locks the Fujiang River tightly. The river inside the gate roars and rushes like a trapped dragon. As soon as it comes out of the tiemen mountain, it suddenly becomes clear, and the Fujiang River also slows down and meanders away.

You can taste national flavor food, such as hand grasping mutton, roasted whole sheep, butter tea, Zanba, highland barley wine, etc.

Jiuzhaigou and Huanglong have not only intoxicating scenery, but also intoxicating wine. The Tibetan and Qiang people are enthusiastic and bold, which is also reflected in their food culture.

The local specialty food is mainly beef and mutton, but the practice of Tibetan and Qiang people is slightly different: Tibetan people mainly use smoked roast meat, supplemented by highland barley wine, butter tea, yogurt and other drinks; Qiang people like to eat spicy and sour meat dishes and animal viscera. In addition, the local Han people are mainly Sichuan cuisine.

Gounei: you can taste Tibetan special food such as roasted whole sheep, butter tea, highland barley wine, dairy products (cheese, milk residue, milk skin and yogurt), yak meat, Cordyceps duck in each village (mainly Shuzheng Village). You can also use buffet in the restaurant of nurilang Tourist Service Center (Jiuzhaigou "Y" intersection), with prices ranging from 40 to 140 yuan. In addition, there are boxed meals near the center, About 15 yuan for one meat and one vegetarian.

You can also bring your own dry food and enjoy it at any time on the way. The advantage of this is that you can take a tour of the time difference, but also can fully enjoy the fun of the picnic. But remember to take the garbage away by yourself, don't destroy the natural environment of Jiuzhai.
