Minjiang river
Minjiang River, known as Dangchang River, qiangshui River and Qianjiang River in ancient times, was named because Dangchang County belonged to minzhou in ancient times. It is a tributary of Jialing River and Bailong River. Hongyangou and bilonggou, which originate from the watershed of North and South Qinling Mountains in the north of Dangchang County, flow from northwest to southeast through AWU, Hadapu, Hejiabao, Dangchang County, Xinchengzi, Linjiang, ganjiangtou, Guanting, Qinyu, huama and other 10 townships, and flow into Bailong River at the mouth of two rivers. The river is about 100 km long (the branch Lichuan river is longer than the main stream AWU River), with a drainage area of 2239.21 square kilometers and an average annual runoff of 607 million cubic meters.
Name change
Minjiang River is a major river in Dangchang. It was called Dangchang River, qiangshui River and Qianjiang River in ancient times. There are two sources in the upper reaches, one is the AWU River, the other is the Qiumo River from the AWU River to Hadapu, and the other is the Qiuying River to the jiaolipu natural village and Lichuan River in Nanhe Township, forming a river to the north of Nanhe township. The local people call it Beihe River, and Beihe river flows through jiaolipu It turns to the East, where Gaoqiao village of Nanhe Township and Nanhe River converge. Here is the real source of Minjiang River.
The first-class River from AWU to Hadapu and the first-class River from Lichuan is called "Beihe" in modern times. According to the interview record of minzhou Xuzhi, it is said in shuijingzhu that Beihe was called huanshui in ancient times, also known as Longjiang. Longjiang is named after the white stone dragon on the hillside of sibuzhai. Therefore, huanshui is not another name of Minjiang River, but the ancient name of Beihe river. Bailong River is another name for Beihe river.
The real ancient name of Minjiang River is qiangshui, which originated from the North Qinling watershed. The river is 100 kilometers long and covers an area of 2239.31 square kilometers. It passes through 11 townships and joins Bailong River in Hekou township.
However, Minjiang River was called qiangshui in ancient times, which was related to the formation of Yan Emperor. There are two theories about the birth of Emperor Yan. One is that the Jiangcheng fort in Xianyang, Shaanxi Province was built in Jiangshui, so the surname of Emperor Yan was Jiang. It is said that Emperor Yan was formed in qiangshui, so he is the first alliance of Qiang tribe. According to Cihai, Emperor Yan lived in the Qiang River Basin, and it is said that the Qiang River originated from Minjiang River in the southeast of Minxian County, Gansu Province. According to Li Daoyuan's shuijingzhu: "the Qiang river flows eastward, passing through the east of ruochang city.". The Qiang River, the Minjiang River in Yanchang, was called Qiang River in ancient times.
The Minjiang River was once known as Qianjiang River. According to the territory of minzhou annals, qianjiangtou, or ganjiangtou, is the southern boundary of ancient minzhou (county).
In the first year of Yongjia in the Western Jin Dynasty (307 AD), Liang Qin, the leader of the Qiang nationality, established the state of Dangchang. Because the river in Dangchang, also known as Dangchang river. Because Dangchang County belonged to minzhou in Tang and Ming Dynasties, it was named Minjiang.
In 1938, the Minxian government and local gentlemen mistakenly named the Minjiang River, which originated from the watershed of Hadapu, as the Bailong River according to the notes of Cihai. They originally wanted to change Hadapu into "the source of the river". Later, they changed it to "Bailong" because of the meaning of longneng and the name of the river. The original name of Hadapu was restored in June 1964.
General situation of main stream
Minjiang River originates from the North Qinling watershed, with a length of 100 kilometers and a drainage area of 2239.31 square kilometers. It is the longest river in Dangchang county. It flows through 11 townships including AWU, Hadapu, Nanhe, Hejiabao, Dangchang, Xinchengzi, Linjiang, ganjiangtou, Guanting, Qinyu and huama, and joins Bailong River at the two estuaries of Shawan township.
Because of the strong neotectonic movement in Qinling Mountains, the upper part of Minjiang River is cut down sharply, so the valley is generally not wide, and the terraces on both banks are especially narrow. The middle part of Minjiang River flows through the hilly area, and the material comes from loess, red sand clay and bedrock differentiation, with fine texture; the lower part of Minjiang river cuts through the mountains of South Qinling Mountains, with narrow valley, and non wide terraces intermittently distributed on both sides of the river, with very thick composition, which needs earthwork to grow crops.
hydrographic features
The average annual flow of Minjiang River is 16.7 m3 / s, the lowest flow is 2.15 m3 / s, the maximum flow is 258 m3 / s, and the average longitudinal slope is 7.33%. Minjiang River provides rich functional resources and water resources for the development of national economy of the county.
natural disaster
In the 21st year of the Republic of China (1932 A.D.) in July of the lunar calendar, the Minjiang River surged, with a maximum flow of 400 cubic meters per second. In the late June of the 23rd lunar calendar, hail rain caused the Minjiang River to soar, and the flow rate suddenly increased to 530 cubic meters per second. The flood peak was level with the Dangchang bridge, and the wooden bridge across the Minjiang River in Gaoqiao village of Nanhe township was washed down. In July of 1935, a torrential rain poured down and a flash flood broke out. The maximum flow of Minjiang River was 400 cubic meters.
On July 1, 1967, severe hail and flood occurred in ganjiangtou, Guanting, Qinyu, Zhuyuan and other townships to the south of Dangchang. Near Dengqiao and sanpanshan hydrological station, - ZJ, the hourly precipitation reached 84.7mm. The flow from Minjiang River to sanpanshan increased sharply from 40m3 to 170m3 per second. At that time, yuanjiashan village members of ganjiangtou Township bought back grain for sale, and 19 people were drowned. On July 15, the flow of Minjiang River 7 increased to 258 cubic meters per second. Within half a month, ganjiangtou, Jiangtai, Boji and other places suffered severe disasters, covering an area of 100000 mu.
On July 25, 1976, huama, Shawan and Xinzhai suffered heavy rain with hail, especially within 10 kilometers around huama commune. The precipitation in 5 hours was 320 mm, which was an unprecedented rainstorm. The mountain torrents broke out in shixiaogou and the mountain torrents roared in 1.5 square kilometers of the mountain behind the second commune of Shiyuan,. Debris flow blocked Minjiang River, inundated Shikai village, destroyed hundreds of houses and blocked Ganchuan highway for three months. The flow of Minjiang River near Lianghekou bridge reached 660 cubic meters per second.
From August 18 to 23, 1976, there was a heavy rainstorm in Dangchang, and the Minjiang River flood destroyed part of the stadium and 400 mu of cultivated land. The county broke many river banks, inundating agricultural land up to ten thousand mu. :.‘
On July 20, 1978, after the heavy rain in huamaling, the mountains collapsed and the ground cracked, and 110 mu of farmland was washed away by water. The landslide in Yuanping area is 1990 meters long and 320 meters wide, with a slide of 54 meters, resulting in the landslide on the Bank of Minjiang River. A 40 kW power station and a series of five water turbine pumping stations were pushed into the Minjiang River, burying 80 mu of farmland and killing 2100 economic fruit trees due to mountain sliding.
