Yishan Dongzhen temple is located in jiulongkou at the east foot of Yishan mountain in Weifang, east of dongzhenmiao village. Dongzhen temple was built in the early years of the Song Dynasty. Whenever emperors and generals offered sacrifices to Yishan, they always set up steles to commemorate it. By the end of the Qing Dynasty, there were more than 360 large and small steles in front of Dongzhen temple, forming a large-scale and spectacular Dongzhen stele forest. There are more than 40 imperial inscriptions. Among them are the imperial steles of Zhao Kuangyin in the third year of Qiande, song Taizu; Jingyou, song Renzong; the steles of Meng and Han Dynasties in the second year of Timur Dade of yuanchengzong (1298 AD); the steles of Zhu Yuanzhang in the third year of Hongwu of Ming Dynasty (1370 AD); the steles of Lingqi Suo Zhong written by Kangxi of Qing Dynasty; the steles of Dadong peiyue written by Qianlong of Qing Dynasty. Other inscriptions, in addition to the Imperial Envoys and local officials left in gaojidong Town, are also well-known celebrities who visit Yishan to chant. For example, the memorial tablet of Li Cang and his son who invaded the border in the fourth year of Yongle (1406 AD) of Ming Dynasty; the poem tablet of Fan Zhongyan, the Minister of the Ministry of household in Song Dynasty; the poem tablet of Su Shi, the Minister of the Ministry of rites in Song Dynasty; the handwritten cursive poem inscription of Chen Fengwu, the Jinshi of Hongzhi in Ming Dynasty. He wrote articles and wrote elixirs of famous people. He not only recorded the incense events of the feudal dynasties in the past dynasties, but also recorded the military, political and natural disasters at that time. He also praised the wonderful scenery of the east town. The inscriptions on the steles were in the form of Zheng, Cao, Li, Zhuan, Xingshu and fancao. In 1976, the government allocated special funds to excavate, inspect and restore the stele forest in Dongzhen. By the spring of 1999, more than 100 ancient steles had been erected, and the forest of Steles had been restored.
