St. yville church, also referred to as "yville church", was built in 1908. It was originally a military Orthodox Church in Amur military region in Harbin. It was designed and built by Denisov. Plus one above the clock tower and one behind it, there are a total of seven onions. The volume of building red brick is larger than that of St. Sophia Church, which shows its unique firing method. The mosaics on the exterior wall of the church are still intact after decades. St. yville church is also the only religious building in Harbin with its affiliated buildings. The appearance of its affiliated orphanage is well preserved, with exquisite shape and rich details. The mosaic paintings at the entrance of the building are even more beautiful and bright as before, which is also a treasure in China.
During the cultural revolution, the five "onion" domes of the church were pulled out. Although the building itself was preserved, it was dilapidated. Even so, you can also feel the heavy historical details from its dilapidated details.

Orthodox Church
In the 34th year of Guangxu (1908), St. yville church was built in Daoli military Street (No. 5 factory alley) with donations from commander of Amur military region, lieutenant general ceceyakov, and his subordinate officers and soldiers. It is a Yaroslav (Bo) type spherical steeple church. There are three altars and five domes. The church covers an area of 555.80 square meters. According to the design of Denisov technicians, the sanctuary in the hall was constructed by the sculptors in the garrison. The sacred images were made in Chernigov City, Russia. Other sacred images were painted by 40 soldiers under the guidance of captain Mikhailov, deputy captain of the garrison, and painter Jimin. The Virgin Mary of vielskaya was dedicated by Bishop uladeyimir. The great sacred image of the central altar was the Christ restoration painted by painter niciriev Living picture; the second altar wall is hung with the picture of St. seraphi and the portrait of St. Nicholas. After the completion of the church, he prayed for the dead Russian officers and soldiers who suppressed the Chinese boxers and the Russian soldiers who died in the Russo Japanese war in 1904. The ashes of these soldiers were moved to the church for burial, and their names were engraved on the church walls.

A brief history of the church

Architecture Overview
St. yville church is located in the factory Hutong of Jihong street, Daoli District, Harbin City, with an area of 555.8 square meters. It is eclectic style, Russian style building and towering appearance. The plane of the church is a Greek cross pattern, 22 meters wide from north to south, 26 meters long from east to west and 27 meters high. The west side is the main entrance, and the north and south directions have one entrance respectively. There is a large drum seat on the top of the front, with a big four small five onion top on the drum seat, and the top of the four onion heads is centered on the big one, which is distributed at the end of the cross. Opposite to the main entrance is the altar. Above the main entrance is the bell tower. Stretching out of the roof, there is a square platform. There is still a drum seat on the square platform. There are two layers of petals decorated, and there is a onion on the drum seat. The onion shaped domes on the church are of clear primary and secondary, well arranged, beautiful and harmonious. The building was seriously damaged during the "Cultural Revolution", and five "onion" domes on the main building were demolished. The interior of the church is spacious and bright, with three altars.
The design in the church was designed by technician Denisov and constructed by sculptors in the garrison. The statue was made in Chernigov, Russia (today's Ukraine). In addition to the statues, there are also works of art in the church, such as the statue of the virgin, the resurrection of Christ, the dress of St. seraph and the portrait of St. Nicholas.
