Qingzhou City Museum is a comprehensive museum of local records. It has a rich collection of cultural relics and is among the top museums of the same level in China. The overall design of Qingzhou museum is a classical ethnic architectural complex with high eaves and splendid scenery. The museum has 20000 cultural relics, which is the largest county-level Museum in China with the largest collection of cultural relics and the most complete categories.
Qingzhou Museum
Qingzhou museum is located at the west end of fangongting Park (fangongting Road) in Qingzhou City, Shandong Province. It is a comprehensive geographer Museum and a national first-class Museum. It was built in 1959 and was newly built in 1984. The Museum covers an area of 40 mu, with a construction area of 12000 square meters. It has a collection of more than 20000 pieces of cultural relics. It has launched 10 special exhibition halls, including brief history exhibition, ceramics, jade, bronze, calligraphy and painting, ancient currency, stele, stone inscription, revolutionary cultural relics, etc.
In 2008, Qingzhou museum was named "national first-class Museum" by the State Administration of cultural relics. It is the only county-level comprehensive museum among the 83 selected units. The National Defense Education Commission was named "advanced unit of national defense education base". It is the "patriotic education base" named by the provincial government, the "youth civilization" named by the Provincial Youth League Committee and the Provincial Tourism Bureau, and the Weifang Municipal civilization single The museum security section was awarded "collective second class merit" by the provincial public security department.
Development history
In 1887 (the 13th year of the reign of Emperor Guangxu of the Qing Dynasty), J.S. white Wright, a British missionary, set up a museum in Peizhen Academy in Qingzhou, where natural specimens, models of cars and motors were built for people to visit. It is one of the early museums in China and the beginning of the construction of Qingzhou Museum.
At the beginning of the 20th century, the national government set up a gold and stone depository in the county Confucian temple.
In 1930 (the 19th year of the Republic of China), the people's education museum was established, with a gold and stone exhibition room and an antiquities exhibition room, which was open to the public free of charge.
In 1949, after the founding of the people's Republic of China, most of the cultural relics left in the public education museum were transported to Jinan, which is now the collection of Shandong Provincial Museum.
In 1959, Yidu County Museum, the predecessor of Qingzhou Museum, was officially established. The museum is located in the ancestral hall of Feng family in the garden.
In 1984, the construction of the new Qingzhou Museum started, covering an area of 30000 square meters and a construction area of 12000 square meters.
In 2008, Qingzhou museum was named "national first-class Museum" by the State Administration of cultural relics.
In 2009, Qingzhou museum was open to the public free of charge.

Exhibition hall of Qingzhou history (prehistoric-1840)
The exhibition is a permanent exhibition and is located on the first floor of the North Hall. The hall displays cultural relics unearthed and handed down from different periods in Qingzhou. The whole exhibition is divided into eight parts in chronological order: prehistoric period, Shang, Zhou, Qin and Han Dynasties, Wei, Jin, southern and Northern Dynasties, Sui and Tang Dynasties, song, Jin and Yuan Dynasties, Ming and Qing Dynasties.
Exhibition hall of Qingzhou history (1840-1949)
The exhibition is a permanent exhibition and is located on the first floor (South) of the West Hall. The hall shows the development history of modern national industry and Commerce and modern education in Qingzhou.
Longxing Temple Buddha exhibition hall
More than 400 Buddhist statues unearthed from the Longxing Temple site are displayed in the hall. They are made of limestone, white marble, granite, pottery, iron, wood and clay, including Buddha, Bodhisattva, Hercules, benefactor, arhat and flying apsaras. They are mainly high relief back screen statues and single round sculptures. The gold pasted color paintings on the statues are well preserved.
Exhibition hall of ancient calligraphy and painting
This hall is the ancient calligraphy and painting art exhibition of Qingzhou Museum. It will make a special exhibition with different themes from time to time to show different calligraphy and painting art works.
Stone sculpture exhibition hall
The hall is the stone sculpture exhibition hall of Qingzhou Museum, which mainly displays the stone sculpture relics unearthed in Qingzhou from the Han Dynasty to the Ming and Qing Dynasties.
Stone tablet Hall
The hall is the exhibition hall of stone inscriptions in Qingzhou Museum. The exhibition hall mainly displays the cultural relics of stone inscriptions in Qingzhou Museum from the northern and Southern Dynasties to modern times. Its forms include inscriptions, poems, epitaphs, Buddhist scriptures, bans, land coupons, etc., which are various in form and rich in content. They are valuable materials for studying the history and culture of ancient Qingzhou.
Ceramic Exhibition Hall
The hall is the ceramic exhibition hall of Qingzhou Museum, which displays more than 2000 pieces of terracotta figures and pottery, and more than 2000 pieces of bronze and iron weapons.
Exhibition hall of colored porcelain
The hall's "colorful porcelain culture exhibition since the Ming and Qing Dynasties" will focus on the collection of 90 pieces of porcelain from the Ming and Qing Dynasties and the Republic of China in Qingzhou Museum. According to the purposes of the exhibits, they can be divided into four parts: Cooking gold and eating Jade -- food utensils and food culture; drinking tea -- tea utensils and tea culture; enjoying leisure -- ornamental utensils and market culture; humble room culture -- Study and literati culture.

A summary of cultural relics
As of February 2017, the Qingzhou Museum has a collection of nearly 40000 cultural relics, more than 2000 cultural relics above the third level, and more than 1000 national precious cultural relics. The collection includes the palace examination paper of Zhao Bingzhong in the Ming Dynasty, Yubi of "yizizi" in the Eastern Han Dynasty, Yuren in the Warring States period, and Buddhist statues unearthed from the site of Longxing Temple.

The new Qingzhou museum is located in the northwest corner of Qingzhou City. The overall design of the museum is a courtyard style antique building complex. The exhibition hall is divided into single eaves and double eaves Xieshan buildings. Golden glazed tiles cover the roof, cornice teeth high peck, resplendent, there are corridors between the exhibition halls, with a strong traditional color.

Important events
Zhang Bo, former deputy director of the State Administration of cultural relics, visited Qingzhou Museum on November 17, 2011.
On July 20, 2012, Cui Jiaxiang, chairman of the fourth council of hexingtang, walnut garden, Qingzhou City, Shandong Province, donated a set of "rebuilding Cui's Genealogy" to Qingzhou Museum.
On the morning of August 27, 2012, Mr. Yang Zhishui and his party were invited to visit Qingzhou Museum.

Ticket information
1. 3000 free tickets (2000 tickets before 13 o'clock and 1000 tickets in the afternoon) will be issued every day until the end of the day.
2. Individual visitors (with ID card or valid certificate) can only get one ticket for one visit, which is valid on the same day and invalid after expiration.
3. Group visits should be made 24 hours in advance (9:00-16:00). After confirmation, tickets can be collected by the letter of introduction or assignment letter of travel agency.
4. Senior citizens, people with disabilities and primary school students should be accompanied by their family members or guardians to collect tickets at the special windows; the certificates of active servicemen can be given priority to collect tickets.
Free information
On February 20, 2020, in honor of medical workers, all A-level scenic spots in Qingzhou City will be open to medical workers nationwide free of charge from the date of resumption of operation to December 31, 2020. All medical workers in the country can apply for admission free at the ticket office of the scenic spot with their ID card, valid doctor's card, nurse's card or medical work-related qualification certificate.
