The mountain is in the shape of a narrow fish ridge, with a gentle slope on both sides, generally between 40 and 60 degrees. Most of its vegetation is herbaceous. There are rare or endangered forages in the world, such as Elymus sibiricus, Elymus nutans, Celosia cristata, Kentucky bluegrass and Medicago sativa. There are three Neolithic cultural sites in the southern foot of the moon. The exposed area of the site is 500 meters wide from east to west and 2000 meters long from north to south. It is distributed in the East and West slopes of Beizhuang and the playground of Sanshui primary school. The cultural layer is 1-2 meters, and the three layers of ink, yellow and red are alternately covered. A large number of ceramic pieces are scattered on the surface and in the cultural layer. The pottery pieces are made of sand and mud, and the decorative patterns are rope patterns and impressions. In July 1984, a stone axe and a gray pottery pot were unearthed while the school was building a wall. A 13 meter long and 30 cm thick layer of lime soil mixed with a large number of pottery pieces was found. This place has been listed as a cultural relic protection unit at the county level.
On the east side of Zhongjing highway at the south foot of moon mountain, there is a large-scale ancient city site, now named baichengzi. According to textual research, the site was built in 1106, the fifth year of Chongning in the Northern Song Dynasty. It was under the jurisdiction of Xi'an Prefecture at that time, and Longde County in the Jin Dynasty. Later it was renamed baichengzi. The ruins of the city are 800 meters long and 800 meters wide, covering an area of 640000 square meters.
