Bai Juyi's hometown is located in dongguosi village, Chengguan Township, Xinzheng City, Zhengzhou City, Henan Province. Bai Juyi's grandfather, Bai Zhen, was a magistrate of Gongyi County, Zhengzhou City, and loved the local customs of Xinzheng City, so he moved to Dongguo house. Bai Juyi was born in Dongguo house and spent his childhood in Xinzheng.

Bai Juyi (772-846) was born in dongguozhai, Xinzheng City, Henan Province. He was clever and studious when he was young. At the age of 16, he chanted the eternal saying that "the wildfire can't be burnt out, and the spring wind will blow again". At the age of 29, he was a scholar in the middle Jin Dynasty. He served as secretary of the Provincial Academy, Zuo Shiyi, Zuo zanshan, Jiangzhou Sima, governor of Suzhou and Hangzhou, and Minister of the Ministry of punishment. Bai Juyi actively advocated the new Yuefu movement in literature. Many chapters in Qin Zhong Yin and new Yuefu written by him are loved by people and known to all women and children.

Bai Juyi's hometown is located in dongguosi village, Chengguan Township, Xinzheng City, Zhengzhou City, Henan Province. In memory of this great poet, the posterity once engraved a huge plaque with four characters of "hometown of Rakuten", which is hung on the canopy of the worship Hall of Fusheng temple in dongguosi village, and the monument of "hometown of Rakuten" stands in the village. In the Qing Dynasty, there was a "monument of Bai Juyi's hometown" in Dongguo temple, which was demolished in the cultural revolution and used to build a complete primary school of Dongguo temple. With the strong support of leaders at all levels, houdongguosi village rebuilt Bai Juyi's hometown. Bai Juyi's cultural propaganda Volunteer Association spontaneously organized by villagers of dongguosi Temple publicized Bai Juyi's hometown to all walks of life in different ways.
