Yichun terrace

In the sixth year of Yuanguang, Emperor Wu of Han Dynasty (129 BC), Liu Cheng, Marquis of Yichun, set up five platforms in and around the city. The most successful one was Yichun platform, which planted thousands of peaches and plums for people to visit. Yichun terrace is known as "hundreds of feet above Yuancheng, with its towering buildings and palaces locked in smoke" and "the splendor of a state and the recreation of thousands of families". In 1904, Ouyang Qi wrote a 50 word couplet, singing poems and describing scenery. After the founding of the people's Republic of China, Yichun Park was set up with Taiwan as the center.
