Development history
Longmen ancient town is located at the foot of Longmen Mountain on Fuchun River, about 16 kilometers away from Fuyang. The ancient town is surrounded by mountains. The head of the mountain is located in the west corner. Longmen mountain rises in the southeast. Shanxi and Longmen River meet in the north of the town. "The beautiful scenery here is better than the Longmen of Luliang". Yan Ziling of the Eastern Han Dynasty was amazed when he toured Longmen Mountain, so the ancient town got its name. All the way up the Longmen River, you can see the mountain road winding, mountains and rocks lined up, on both sides of the strange peaks and stones protruding, like bells and drums. The stream in the valley is lingering, and the trees are green. During the walk, the body and mind are light. Walking, walking, the sound of water gradually came to my ears, and I went away looking for the sound. But I saw that the broken wall was steep, the waterfall was falling, with a drop of 100 meters, just like Bai Lian falling into the sky, falling into the Longtan, the Pearl fog was misty, just like entering a wonderful fairyland. Yu Dafu praised in his poem Longmen Mountain inscription that there is a slanting Milky way in the sky, and the four mountain waterfalls sing frogs. In the Ming Dynasty, if I want to help the mulberry, I can go fishing beside the inkstone.
"Longmen" is not only a geographical concept, but also a profound cultural concept. More than 90% of the villagers in Longmen are descendants of Sun Quan, the great emperor of the Three Kingdoms. According to the genealogical records, from Sun Quan in the Three Kingdoms period to the 28th year of the Republic of China (1939), the sun family has multiplied to 65 generations. For thousands of years, the ancient town has been formed from the settlement of a large family through the construction of Gefang generation after generation. With two ancestral halls as the center, the ancient town has more than 40 halls, three brick archways, one pagoda and one temple. The houses and corridors in the town are connected, and the long streets and lanes are connected. People outside the town enter the town like a maze.
The 400 meter long pebble street in Longmen is a must. The wind is as clear as water in the ancient lane. The pebbles on the street are moistened by the years. The ancient signboards can be seen in the shops on both sides. The light in the small shops is dim. The old abacus, the glass bottle with candy and the red two kicks are all placed on the tall and heavy old wooden counters. The owner of the shop idly lies on the rocking chair, humming the old play along with the radio. Three or five thin old people, with a leisurely look, sat on a smooth and cold stone at the corner. It is said that the old people in the village like to talk about their family here. In front of these kind and calm old people, the world is really like a passing cloud. Maybe we can realize that it is better to hold on to it than to have it. The greatest happiness in life is to keep what we have achieved.

Main attractions
The origin of ancient town
In the early Eastern Han Dynasty, Yan Ziling, a famous scholar, toured Longmen. He was surprised by the beautiful scenery here. He could not help sighing: "the beautiful scenery here is better than Longmen in Luliang." In admiration, this beautiful land was given a resounding name - Longmen. Tracing back to the thousand year history of the ancient town, the descendants of Sun Quan, the great emperor of Wu of the Three Kingdoms, with diligence and wisdom, and adhering to the pioneering spirit of their ancestors, have built Longmen into the "paradise" of the sun family. With the protection of Longmen Mountains and waters, the sun family eventually developed into a famous family in the south of the Yangtze River with more than 2000 households and more than 7000 people. Now it has well preserved ancient buildings of the Ming and Qing Dynasties, which is the largest ancient village in the south of the Yangtze River.

Bustling and bustling are the theme of the old street. This market, which is nearly three li long and three meters wide, has always been prosperous. From Jiajing of Ming Dynasty to KangQian of Qing Dynasty, the sun's family of Longmen was "half a line of scholars, salty and rich", which made the old street a place full of merchants and shops. During this period, most of the shops are in front of the shop and back of the house. The busy business activities and leisure after work complement each other, highlighting the unique charm of the markets in the Ming and Qing Dynasties. Longmen has always been based on farming. As the only place for commodity exchange, the old street adds a different style to the quiet and introverted ancient town.

Longmen River, which passes through the village, nurtures the ancient town for thousands of years. The villagers built near the river and lived near the river. The folk custom was simple and honest, the neighborhood was harmonious and amiable, and they inherited the tradition of farming and reading. The ancient dwellings are arranged in order along the river bank, with different heights and well arranged. Different from other ancient towns, there have been no shops on both sides of the stream road since ancient times, which has declined the philistine habits and commercial troubles. Living here is light, comfortable and simple, separated from noise and chaos. In the meantime, we can appreciate the unique charm of the ancient town, and the harmonious atmosphere of simplicity and kinship makes us linger.

A hundred steps
To measure the length of the hall with steps, a hundred steps; to measure the length of the hall with time, a hundred years. One hundred years of history makes the pace of the hall stagger. The unique architectural structure of Baibuting corridor depends on its magnificent architectural appearance. But the vicissitudes of history show its merciless side. The broken walls and residual tiles of xianzhengtang tell us that it is not easy to protect the ancient town. The cultural heritages are very fragile in reality destruction and natural erosion. This gives the world a serious and urgent issue, how to make our historical and cultural heritage more long-term retention? To keep history is to keep our own roots.
