The museum has collected more than 30 sets of ethnic costumes, 116 pieces of rubbings, pottery, bronzes, calligraphy and painting. Among them, the most valuable cultural relics are the bronze axe and pot of Han Dynasty, the epitaph of Yu's wife of pudingwei commander in 1410, and the calligraphy couplets of Yuan Xichen in the late Qing Dynasty.
Development history
Wax printing was called Wax Pick in ancient times. It is a folk traditional printing and dyeing process shared by all ethnic minorities in Guizhou. "If you use wax to paint flowers on cloth and dye them, if you want to remove wax, the pattern is like painting" (Tongzhi of Guizhou). Batik originated in the spring and Autumn period, popular in the Han and Tang Dynasties, and flourished in the song and Yuan Dynasties. In 1987, not only pottery cauldrons and wine utensils from the Han and Tang Dynasties were excavated in a coffin group of the Miao surnamed Liu in Taohua village, Pingba County, Anshun City, but also the colorful batik pleated skirt of the Song Dynasty was excavated for the first time. It is as bright as new. The pattern is "Heron silk bird pattern", and the style is almost the same as that of the modern Miao pleated skirt.
Anshun is known as the "hometown of batik". Today, the Palace Museum in Beijing displays a batik back fan of Miao Nationality in the suburb of Anshun collected by the Royal Court of Qing Dynasty.
The folk batik in Huangguoshu area has a long history. Take Shitouzhai as an example, more than 80% of the people here have dye vats. From the age of twelve or thirteen, Buyi girls began to learn batik technology. Every woman can draw wax, so they are called "hometown of batik".
Batik is actually divided into two forms: batik and batik. Wax paintings are made with a copper knife (a tool for wax painting) dipped with high-temperature and soluble beeswax. They are painted on white cloth. Flowers, birds, fish, insects, rivers and lakes are wonderful and lifelike. Then the painter can fill in various colors according to his preference. Batik is the painting of a good work through anti dyeing, boiling, waxing, rinsing, flower show. In addition, the mysterious ice pattern makes batik more abstract. Batik is very popular among Miao Buyi women in Anshun. Miao nationality's patterns have the nature of historical records, like armor, like words, or freehand, or abstract, and can gallop freely; Buyi Nationality's most totem patterns are sun pattern, cloud and thunder pattern, Huiwen pattern, copper drum pattern, continuous symmetry, simple and elegant. Batik fabrics are often used for skirts, aprons, bed sheets, back fans, tent eaves, satchels, hats and fashion. All kinds of batik handicrafts are the fashion pursued by tourists at home and abroad.
