Xiaoxing'anling Botanical Garden

Xiaoxing'anling botanical garden is the largest botanical garden in Northeast China, covering an area of 5.33 million square meters. It is a comprehensive garden integrating scientific research, production, popularization of plant science and tourism. Xiaoxing'anling Botanical Garden

Xiaoxing'anling botanical garden, located in the north mountain of Yichun District, is the largest botanical garden in Northeast China. It is a comprehensive garden integrating scientific research, production, popularization of plant science and tourism. Against the background of the pine forest, it is particularly spectacular. The landscape paintings on the gate tower depict the beautiful mountains and rivers in Yichun. Along the shady, undulating asphalt road, came to the medicinal botanical garden. The garden, built in 1983, has become one of the most important landscapes in the whole park. It covers an area of 60000 square meters and is divided into 14 districts. The wild medicinal plants in Xiaoxing'an Mountains can be seen at a glance here. It is not only the conservation base of wild medicinal plant resources in Xiaoxing'an Mountains, but also the scientific research base for the introduction of medicinal plants and the development and utilization of northern medicine. There are 327 kinds of wild plants collected and cultivated, such as Acanthopanax senticosus, Schisandra chinensis, astragalus, Codonopsis pilosula, three needles, etc. In the middle of the garden stands a statue of Li Shizhen, a master of traditional Chinese medicine in ancient China, which echoes the tall vine trellis, the ginseng baby full of childlike interest, the carp leaping over the dragon's gate and the large frog sculpture in the aquatic plant area. In fact, the garden is a wonderful place for ecotourism and traditional Chinese medicine exploration.

Arboretum

Walk out of the medical botanical garden westbound, is the largest tourist area of the garden "arboretum" exhibition area. Built in 1979, covering an area of 400000 square meters, 314 species of woody plants have been planted, including 110 species of woody plants in Xiaoxing'an Mountains. The representative tree species are: Korean pine, Picea koraiensis, Larix gmelinii, Betula platyphylla, Fraxinus mandshurica, Juglans mandshurica, pineapple, etc. To the north is the introduction and cultivation area, where more than 200 kinds of trees at home and abroad are introduced and cultivated. It is divided into nine districts: Pinus, spruce, Sequoia, deciduous, Cupressaceae, angiosperms, Euonymus, Spiraea and rose. Representative tree species are: Pinus banksiana, Picea asperata, Larix kaempferi, Spiraea japonica, Betula platyphylla, etc. The arboretum is the main body of the botanical garden. Walking in the garden, breathing fresh air, makes you relaxed and happy. It is an excellent forest bath.

Forest goddess

In the center of the park, you can see the landmark sculpture of the park, the goddess of the forest. The huge fruit of Korean pine in her hand indicates that the spirit of Korean pine has been handed down from generation to generation, and visitors can rest and have fun here. Walking to the northeast, you enter the willow garden, where willows grow in different shapes, including the precious red hairy willow and the Dragon whisker willow. In spring and April, thousands of flowers are in full bloom, flowers are beautiful and moving. The southeast part is the exhibition area of native tree species, in which the city flower of Yichun City, Rhododendron Xing'an, also known as YINGSHANHONG, grows. In spring, the mountain is full of red, which is very spectacular. Pinus koraiensis is a famous timber tree species in China. Its seeds are commonly known as "pine nuts", which are delicious and edible. There are also city birds and woodpeckers everywhere in the community. It is a kind of beneficial bird and a loyal guard of the forest. Further to the southwest is the pine plant exhibition area. There are many kinds of tree species from the other side of the ocean, such as Bankson, little stick pine from the United States, Japanese larch, European red pine and so on. You can enjoy the exotic plants in the botanical garden. Walking in the woods, you can also pick up all kinds of mountain treasures, listen to the singing of a hundred birds, and play and catch fish in the lake with the sculpture of Chang'e flying to the moon. It's really the reflection of the pines and the waves.
