Xuzhou City, where Xuzhou National Forest Park is located, was formed in the Paleozoic Xuhuai depression fold belt in the south of North China ancient land. The Xuhuai depression fold belt was formed under the influence of Yanshanian movement in Jurassic and Cretaceous. The stratum consists of limestone, sand shale and the fourth cover zone. Since the neotectonic movement at the end of the Tertiary period, the area has risen in exchange for a long time. After erosion and denudation by stages, the limestone remnant mound group, which now fluctuates on the Huaihai plain, has been formed. After long-term dissolution and erosion, the rocks are exposed, the fissures are developed, and the weathering layer is thin.

In May 2013, the open garden reconstruction project of Quanshan Forest Park was implemented, including a new tourist reception center with a construction area of 3300 square meters and new rest facilities.
In March 2014, the water storage of Longquan Lake was completed, and the total water storage reached 46000 cubic meters, forming a 32 Mu lake landscape.

Yunlong mountain is located in the south of Xuzhou City, beside dashiyan of Shanxi slope. Every year, the temple fair of Guanyin Bodhisattva's birthday is held on the 29th day of the lunar calendar. The Guanyin meeting of dashiyan began in the reign of Emperor Kangxi of Qing Dynasty. At that time, Jiang Zhuo, the governor of Xuzhou, sent people to carve the statue of Guanyin. Most of the Buddhists came to worship it. Over time, the Guanyin society was formed, which was called Yunlong mountain society among the people. On the 19th, donors, incense burners, beggars, vowers, people who attend the party and fly kites flooded in. Inside and outside the dashiyan courtyard, there are many believers burning incense in front of the statue of Guanyin. The crane releasing Pavilion behind dashiyan and Xinghua temple in Shandong Province are also full of visitors.
