Lapulake ancient city is located in Sibao village, Wubao Township, Hami City, 65 kilometers east of Hami City. It is the site of the city from Han Dynasty to Tang Dynasty. In 1957, it was listed as a cultural relic protection unit in Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region.

The ancient city is quite large, with two cities in the north and the south, and the plane is in the shape of "Lu". As the Baiyang River flows between the two cities, the ancient city was destroyed. Most of the original buildings were destroyed. The pottery pieces found inside and outside the ancient city are mainly red and gray pottery with sand. Most of them are made by rotation, and the heat is high. The decorative patterns are mainly lace lines and additional patterns. The shape of the utensil is pot, urn, etc. From the shape characteristics, it is similar to the artifacts unearthed in Beiting ancient city of Jimusaer county. According to the records in the biography of the western regions in the book of the later Han Dynasty, "in the 16th year, the Ming emperor ordered his generals to march northward to the Xiongnu, take the land of Yiwulu, and set up the Duwei of Yihe to garrison the land." In 493, Shanshan state was conquered by Gaoche people. Some people fled to Yiwu and built a city here, which is called Nazhi. In the fourth year of Tang Zhenguan (630), Yizhou was set up here, subordinate to Nazhi county. From the perspective of location, unearthed relics and architectural forms, the two cities are probably yiwutun city in the Eastern Han Dynasty and Nazhi County in the Tang Dynasty
