Bawangling

Bawangling is located in Changjiang County in the southwest of Hainan Island. It is one of the six major forest areas under Hainan forestry bureau. The national natural forest protection project covers a total area of 1.779 million mu, including 743000 mu of key ecological public welfare forest, 1.036 million mu of farm and township management area, and the forest coverage rate is 96.7%.

Brief introduction to Bawangling

Bawangling forest region is a typical representative of tropical rain forest in Hainan, with mild climate, abundant rainfall, a wide variety of animals and plants, complete ecosystem and complete ecological functions. It has four characteristics of typicality, uniqueness, treasure and diversity. There are 2213 species of wild plants and 365 species of wild animals. Among them, the unique Hainan gibbon is the least abundant and extremely endangered species among the existing primates in the world, with only 23.
