Tianshui Pure Land Temple

Tianshui Pure Land Temple, also known as Manshu temple, is adjacent to Maijishan grottoes, one of the four largest Grottoes in China. Surrounded by mountains, the temple is one of the ten scenic spots in Qinzhou.

The Pure Land Temple was completely demolished in 1971, and all the steles and couplets were lost. Since the 1980s, the monks of the pure land temple have raised funds for the restoration and expansion of the temple, and now a grand building complex with one entrance and three Zen halls has been formed.

Manshu temple, also known as the Pure Land Temple, is located in the southeast of Tianshui City, Gansu Province. It is adjacent to the Maijishan grottoes, one of the four major Grottoes in China. Manshu temple has a long history. Since the end of Tang Dynasty and the beginning of Song Dynasty, it has been performed as "Jigu Temple", "Kyoto temple" and "Pure Land Temple". In the 1990s, master Haizheng, the great monk of Wutai Mountain, was determined to build a temple here. After eight years of hard work, he built the magnificent Manshu temple.

The Pure Land Temple in Manshu is surrounded by mountains and pines, forming one of the eight sceneries in Qinzhou -- the pure land pines. Wu Xichuan, a Jinshi in the Qing Dynasty, wrote a poem praising: "in the pure land of Henian temple, the pines are in the air. Straight from the sky, not the same as the world. " The eighteen peaks around manjushu Pure Land Temple form the unique scenery of "Eighteen Arhats worship Manjusri". Each Lohan peak looks like a lotus petal, and the 18 green peaks all embrace the main peak of Manjusri, showing the wonder of "green sea Lotus". Some of them are like Maiji Mountain, and some are like Xianren cliff. They are praised as "the beauty of the square and round peaks, which can be seen all around. The aura of the Baili scenic spot is contained in the pure land." The sun moon cave and the practice cave hidden among the green trees on the cliff, the natural Buddha head statue formed by the rainbow and clouds, and the cliff convex stone are vivid and vivid, surrounded by auspicious images, which are even more extraordinary; Yaowang spring, Kuanxin spring, Zhizhi spring and Prajna spring, "four holy springs" are clear and sweet; tall Paifang building, pure and green manna pool; majestic Luohan hall, Changshou hall, dizang hall, Tianwang hall Jialan hall, Jifo hall, Manjusri hall, Mahatma hall, and Vajra hall are built along the mountain.
