Pule temple, commonly known as yuantingzi, is located on the East Bank of Wulie River in the east of Chengde street, facing Wulie River and leaning against hammer peak. Built in 1766, the gate of the temple faces west. At that time, the relationship between the Northwest Nationalities and the Qing government was increasingly close. The Kazakh people living around Balkhash and the brute people living in the north of Congling constantly sent representatives to make pilgrimage, so the temple was built. Facing the summer resort, the temple presents a situation of stars crowding the moon, symbolizing the unity of a multi-ethnic country. The Mountain Gate of Pule temple is a single eaves mountain top. There are bell and Drum Tower, Tianwang hall, Zongyin hall and other buildings in the mountain gate. Tianwang hall, single eaves rest peak. There are four heavenly kings, Maitreya and Weituo statues in the green cut edge of buwa. Zongyin hall is the main hall, with double eaves resting on the top of the mountain. The ridge of the hall is made of colored glazed tiles to form a cloud dragon pattern. There is a large glazed Pagoda in the middle of the ridge. On the side of the hall is a relief of "eight treasures". Inside the hall are Sakyamuni Buddha, pharmacist Buddha and Amitabha Buddha. Each of the three Buddhas has a Dharma Protector: a Mirs golden winged bird. There are eight Bodhisattvas on both sides. The latter half of Pule temple is the main building of Tibetan style, which is called Sutra altar. It is the place for assembly and preaching. It has a total of three floors, the main hall known as "Xuguang Pavilion", the appearance is very similar to the temple of heaven in Beijing. There is a bronze statue of Tibetan Buddhism on the mandala, the main body of Xumi seat in the pavilion, which is also called "shangle King Buddha". The ceiling and caisson in the pavilion is also second to none among the eight outer temples.
