Xincheng Catholic Church was built in 1956 at the original site of the shrine. The overall aesthetic feeling of the building is the best in the East. The long windows on both sides of the ship church are lined with painted glass, and the stone washing walls are covered with vines. The furnishings in the church are clean and simple, but solemn and sacred. There is a holy washing pool on the right side of the rear. Originally, the hand washing stones used to wash hands and body and mind are now placed in the church For the holy water in the eyes of believers, there is a small confession area on the left.
Because history has brought together two buildings of different faiths, here you can see the bird house and stone lanterns in the Japanese shrine, coexist with the cross and the statue of the Virgin Mary in the Catholic Church, and exude a quiet power of stability and peace.
