Jinjishan Park

Jinjishan park is in the southeast corner of Jinjishan, Jin'an District, Fuzhou. The ancient book "Minzhong Ji" contains: "when Qin Shihuang was the first emperor, the one who looked at Qi (Mr. Feng Shui) said: this mountain is auspicious of golden rooster." the shape of the mountain is like a chicken, so it is called Golden Rooster mountain. Jinji mountain is the branch of Beiling mountains. It is like a huge green emerald lying on the East Bank of Jin'an river. It is a famous mountain in the suburb of Fuzhou City. It has a lot of historical and cultural accumulation. Many precious cultural relics from Han Dynasty to Qing Dynasty have been unearthed. In ancient times, there were many places of interest in the area of Jinji mountain, such as the Qiyun nunnery built in the Ming Dynasty at the top of the mountain, the Jinji temple and the dizang temple built in the Tang Dynasty at the foot of the mountain, and the Sangxi, Qushui and litchi forest nearby. In particular, Jinji mountain still retains the original style of natural forest, which is a rare scenic spot with strong mountain and wild taste in Fuzhou City

Jinjishan Park

Jinjishan park is located at the foot of Jinjishan mountain, Jin'an District, Fuzhou, covering a total area of about 110 hectares. Jinji mountain is a famous mountain in Fuzhou City. It is high and luxuriant. It has the shape of Mount Tai. The view of the rocks in tu'er mountain is the only mountain in Fuzhou City which is embedded into the urban area by the ring mountains. There are a lot of historical and cultural deposits. Many precious cultural relics have been unearthed from the Han Dynasty to the Qing Dynasty. It has high concentration of negative oxygen ions and fresh air. In 2015, the park was upgraded, with the newly built trestle road around the mountain and Feihong bridge, and a large number of flowers and trees newly planted. The highlights of cultural landscape are increasing day by day, which has become an epitome of the improvement of Fuzhou's landscape environment. In April 2016, it was rated as "top ten popular parks in Fuzhou", and in November 2017, it was rated as national AAA scenic spot.

About the park

Jinji mountain is located in Chayuan street and Yuefeng town, Jin'an District, Fuzhou City. It is the branch of Beiling mountain and a famous mountain in Fuzhou City. Around the foot of the mountain are important landmarks such as Fuzhou railway station, Fujian Provincial Library, hot spring park, Taihe square of the East 2nd Ring Road and Dengyun reservoir. The 2nd and 3rd ring roads, Wenfu Railway and Fuma railway pass through the mountain.

Jinjishan park is one of the rare scenic spots in Fuzhou City. In the park, there are Wei Jie's former residence, nantianzhao Tianjun palace, Dieshi waterfall, plum blossom forest, Renmin cherry forest, Dacheng foundation Pavilion, Wangcheng Pavilion, Wangjing platform (guanjin platform), Feihong bridge, taohuapo, Qixia platform, tiger platform, Songlin platform, ginkgo square and other cultural and natural landscapes. The most famous cultural scenic spot is nantianzhao Tianjun palace, which worships zhaotianzhu The people of Fuzhou prayed that zhaotianzhu would continue to protect the people of Fuzhou in the sky, with good weather, peace and prosperity.

The park has two main entrances and exits: South Gate (Jinjishan Road) and west gate (Qianqi Road), and several secondary entrances including East Gate (Dengyun Road), shuangxi'an and North Gate (Shuitou Village).

Botany

The primary plants in Jinji mountain are single, mainly Acacia and Pinus massoniana, and there are many banyan trees. In 2015, after upgrading and transformation, more than 20 kinds of flowering plants were planted on the mountain, so that tourists to Jinji mountain can see the flowers in full bloom in four seasons. Among them, we will focus on creating four flower slopes of plum blossom, cherry blossom, peach blossom and crape myrtle.

The good ecological environment of Jinji mountain has attracted many rare birds to visit, including Silver Pheasant, a rare national second-class protected animal. The staff of Fujian birdwatching association found 16 species of birds in Jinji mountain, including white bellied thrush, chestnut backed Bulbul, yellow browed warbler, great tit and red pepper bird. Among them, white Bulbul accounted for a large proportion, and the most common place for birds was near the entrance of west gate of Jinji Mountain Park.

Park history

origin

Jinji mountain was opened up in the Qin Dynasty. It is said that when Li Tieguai, the great immortal, passed by the east gate of Fuzhou, he saw a mountain emitting a stream of gas. Tieguai felt strange, so he fell down into the clouds and followed the mountain. He saw a long and big rock protruding from the bottom of the mountain, which looked like "champion hat", commonly known as "Jinji cave". He also found golden pheasants (pheasants) flying around the rock in groups on the mountain, so he called this place "golden pheasant mountain".

The human history of Jinji mountain can be traced back to Qin and Han Dynasties. The ancient book "Minzhong Ji" contains: "when Qin Shihuang looked at Qi, he said: this mountain has the auspiciousness of golden rooster. Therefore, it belongs to the fault ridge, and its eyes are tired of Wang Qi. The old section is a pedestrian road, No. Jigong lane. " It can be seen that this mountain was named "Jinji mountain" because of its "Golden Rooster auspiciousness". "The auspiciousness of the golden rooster" refers to "Wang Qi", so the local officials of the first emperor of Qin Dynasty in Minzhong county (now Fuzhou) cut off the back of the Golden Rooster to prevent it from flying, and created a "Pedestrian Road" to step on tens of thousands of feet, making the Golden Rooster never turn over. According to shanlao, Jigong lane or Jigong lane is the predecessor of Jinjishan road.

Completed

In February 1997, Jinjishan Park was built. At the beginning of the park, there were many sceneries, such as Fangjing fuming wind, mountain pastoral songs, chickens crowing, and the largest artificial waterfall in Fujian Province.

In the spring of 2004, zhaotianjun palace was built on the top of the South Gate of Jinjishan park. This is a magnificent palace with Taoist architectural style.

Dilapidated

After about 2003, Jinjishan Park was once dilapidated, with poor appearance and less and less visitors. The pavilions, stone steps, fences and other infrastructure in the park are seriously damaged, and no one has maintained them for many years. The artificial waterfall has stopped using, and many tombs in the park have not been effectively cleaned up. At the same time, the plot in the northwest corner of the South Gate of the park was rented to open the "YINGSHANHONG" restaurant with the nature of high-end restaurant from 2007 to 2014, which was criticized by the public.

In those years, the South Tianzhao Tianjun palace became the only scenic spot worth visiting in the park. Therefore, most Fuzhou citizens went to Jinjishan park to worship zhaotianjun, and there were few tourists.

After 2012, Jinjishan Park began to carry out large-scale transformation and upgrading, thus enhancing the tourism value. In 2013, the 1500m long wooden plank road of the first phase of Jinjishan park reconstruction project was completed, and the reconstruction of the south gate and entrance square of Jinjishan Park, the "white to black" reconstruction of the ring road and the construction of the viewing platform were completed.

In 2014, YINGSHANHONG restaurant in the park was forced to close.

In the Spring Festival of 2015, the artificial waterfall (three-tier waterfall) landscape transformation of Jinjishan Park was completed, and several trestle roads inside the park were completed, which were connected in series by connecting the trestle road ring, Lancheng sightseeing trestle road ring, and ridge leisure trestle road

All over the park, walking on the trestle road around the mountain, people can enjoy the beautiful scenery of Fuzhou while taking a leisure walk.

In May 2015, located between the hot spring park and Jinjishan Park, the hot spring park Jinjishan Park corridor bridge project across Jin'an River, Jin'an North Road and June 1st North was completed, connecting Jin'an River, Jinjishan Park, hot spring park and other important urban public spaces.

In October 2015, the Feihong bridge, from the top of Wei Jie's former residence to the top of the first stage viewing platform (i.e. the cherry blossom forest of the National People's Congress), was completed and opened to tourists.

In April 2016, Jinjishan Xinhua Bookstore (Zhisheng Academy) was opened, which organically combines tourism, fitness and reading. It has become a reading and leisure place and a convenient service point for tourists, adding a lot of cultural charm to Jinjishan.

In April 2016, Fuzhou Municipal Bureau of landscape architecture and Fuzhou evening news launched the selection activity of "top ten popular parks in Fuzhou". Jinjishan park has been rated as one of the "top ten popular parks in Fuzhou".

In late September 2016, the construction of the east entrance of the park started. The main building will be completed before the Spring Festival in 2017.

Since January 2017, the "Golden Rooster lecture" has been held regularly in jasmine. We hope that through the popularization of garden knowledge, we can enhance the awareness of green planting, love green and protect green among our friends.

In April 2017, the construction of Fuzhou Hot Spring Park Jinjishan Park corridor phase II project has been started. On the basis of phase I project, a corridor of about 350 meters will be built, which can be directly connected to the existing footpath in Jinjishan park.

In July 2017, the east entrance of Jinjishan Park was officially opened, through which residents in Helin district and along the East 2nd Ring Road can climb directly to Lancheng plank road.

In November 2017, Jinjishan Park was rated as a national AAA scenic spot.

In February 2019, Jinjishan Park plank road landscape phase II project won the "2017 Fujian Province 'Minjiang Cup' landscape quality project".

Future planning

1. The third phase of Lancheng plank road is in the early stage of planning and design, and the construction will start after it is reported to the higher authorities for approval. The completion period depends on the specific design and construction. It is planned to go from wanglongting (shuanglongsi) on Lancheng plank road to Dengyun reservoir.

2. In the planning, the entrance of the north gate of the park is located at Shuitou, which is only reserved for future reconstruction. The reconstruction will be carried out after the approval of the superior departments.
